I play BF1 and COD: MW at the minimum settings, I feel that the input lag has increased on the new system. Despite the significantly increased FPS, it became harder for me to aim. On one of the YouTube channels, AMD and Intel processors were compared, the processor from AMD had a much larger input lag. (click) Tell me, is this true, or is it already fixed on zen2?

No clue, but I appreciate low input latency and 'rawness'.

I recently upgraded my system and I'm impartial to a specific brand, but for various reasons I choose Intel above AMD. I guess mainly for their 'proven' architecture and can kind of expect what to get.

AMD has great multithreading capability and processing throughput, but that's only a part of the picture.

It is also true that it works with CCX and some delay in between them. There's a whole bunch of complex stuff going on there and to obtain max performance you'll want to try and put a whole game on a single CCX for affinity (And preferably the one that already has the kernel running).

But that is simply too tight. Even CSGO yields higher FPS with more than 4 cores (believe it or not) so you'll always have to deal with that 'latency'.

I don't expect an Intel vs Ryzen system to be in the single digit latency real even, but maybe there is some form of 'rawness' that an Intel system can provide vs a Ryzen system.

Also from personal experience with fooling around with interrupt affinities on different cores, seemed to have some effect on that. (instead of letting majority of DPC's be processed on the 1st core where kernel resides), now imagine having to do that on a cpu with two different CCX.

I dont know, its just not ideal if you ask me. But this is all in the very subjective realm and might not even be measurable properly.

Keep your IF coupled with your Memory speed (1:1 ratio), and don't use SMT

Is it true that AMD Ryzen has a larger input lag?

No, it's just happy Ryzen owners that can't wait to switch back to Intel.

I also have a ryzen system ryzen 5 3600 and input lag in csgo is killing me I had a ryzen 5 2600 and it was the same for that too. When I had a gaming intel laptop i7 4720hq there was no input lag at all. But after building a pc late 2018 and I went with ryzen I have been suffering with input lag for almost 2 years.

Doesn't seem like the difference is all that much, I think it's more to do with windows 10 as there's various things that can influence input lag there more noticeably, like the dwm vs you not having the dwm back on windows 7, or an update screwed with something, etc... cause these days with windows 10 you need to configure it more than you used to have with a fresh windows 7 install to get it to work nicely.

worst case scenario it's 1ms slower, avg is about 3ms difference.

Just build new PC Ryzen 5600x, Rtx 3060ti,Asus rog strix B550 f gaming, HyperX Predator 32GB RAM, load new win10, instal CSgo.
In first match i notice that everybody see me before i see them. Start downloading new drivers bios evrything 100 times. No improve.
I was thinking bad CPU so get second ryzen 5600x, with same result, first CPU was dead.
I buy new mobo MPG b550 gaming plus and ryzen 5800x, same crap.
Today a giving up on this AMD hardware.
CPU maybe powerful but for sure not for online gaming like CS GO. I was playing long time on i7 7700 with gf1060 no problem.
I was trapt on AMD claim that they CPU 19% faster and yes they probaly are faster but they reach that speed after you are allready dead in game.

Perhaps a scenario like this exploits weak links in a system e.g. a slow monitor.

My monitor is Alienware 240Hz,
internet: optical cable 1Gig up down, latency sometime over 10ms, 0% loss,
when is bad day it take me download CSgo 10,9Gig in 2min 30sec.
So i thin no problem there.

Did you just swap over your drive or did you do an OS reinstall?

List all your tweaks you did.

Also to provide proof of your claim you should make a video of said issue
