Windows build 2004 brings WDDM 2.7 and Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling to compatible graphics cards. At the moment none of the vendors have released official software support, but Nvidia has released a developer driver with support for this feature. It's speculated that it reduces input lag when active.
Is there anyone who's actually tested and verified this claim?

Also curious about this, is this just for games utilising the graphics card, or actually reducing input lag on the desktop?

Guys i created an account just to post here.It does exactly the opposite of what it promises.I tested with CS GO and it felt almost like i enabled vsync.so much more input lag I wanted to up the in game sensitivity. When I turned it off all fine again. My guess is that there is some type of conflict with the ultra low latency of the nvcp.I hope they fix it.

Odd. I updated to 2004. I have a supported GPU, I think. A 1070, 441.41 drivers. Should I be seeing it? I'm not, if so.

That's interesting. You're the first person I've seen thusfar with any report, and this doesn't sound promising. Did you double blind or blind test, or was this just based on perception?pabcore wrote: ↑24 Jun 2020, 17:09Guys i created an account just to post here.It does exactly the opposite of what it promises.I tested with CS GO and it felt almost like i enabled vsync.so much more input lag I wanted to up the in game sensitivity. When I turned it off all fine again. My guess is that there is some type of conflict with the ultra low latency of the nvcp.I hope they fix it.

Ah, support starts with driver 450.99, for nvidia

perception,I don't have the tools to measure it.I immediately noticed as soon as the round started.I tried to make believe (placebo myself in some sort) that it was better but it was not even the same as before,it was worse.flagbender wrote: ↑25 Jun 2020, 03:04That's interesting. I just tried 20.5.1 Beta with Hardware Accelleration, it only works for 5000 series Amd GPUs
This is what I noticed:
So yeah, I'm CPU bound most of the times in games like overwatch when I uncap the fps limiter, I knew that I was going to get some benefits since the CPU doesn't have to spend cycles managing VRAM but I wasn't expecting such a noticeable improvement.
This is what I noticed:
- Noticeable improvement in avg fps(+15/20fps), 1%lows and 0.1%lows, frame times seem more stable than with Hardware Accelleration OFF.
- There's a perceivable improvement in overall input lag.

Where did you enable Hardware Accelleration after installing the BETA drivers? I can't find it.axaro1 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2020, 04:31I just tried 20.5.1 Beta with Hardware Accelleration, it only works for 5000 series Amd GPUs

I play with a 240hz monitor w/ a 3600 (4.3ghz 1.187mv OC) + overclocked the shit out of my cheap Hynix CJR Ram to reach 3733 cl16 and squeeze every single fps for single threaded application.
