What's the minimum CPU generation for BRUTAL CSGO COMPETITIVE GAMING?

I've found out practically that CPU bottleneck is the worst one, especially for competitive gaming, it's the worst deal breaker ever. No matter what gpu or 240Hz monitor you have, you gonna struggle brutally if your CPU is really old generation.

Xeon 1680 v2. For more "mainstream" cpus, 8700k. At this point though, just get a 10700k or used 9700k.

23ms interrupt latency? Damn.

Definitely not the most ideal CPU, if it is the CPU fault here. Have you tried a fresh Windows reinstall?

But yes, get a fresh, newer CPU.

For (future proof) competitive gaming I recommend 10900k(f), 10850k(f), 10700k(f) or 9900k(s/f).

Thanks for responding. I'm planing to get an Xeon X3470 to upgrade since it's the latest price/performance CPU which my server can support, X3480 is just not worth it for the 200Mhz overclock. Will install a fresh Windows 10 iso when I upgrade it. Do you think it will it be at least sufficient for competitive playing? I upgraded my GPU as well , first day it was running just fine and was getting 200-300fps in low settings 1080p (obviously lowest fps was 140), but after the other day it started to drop down to 80-90 and like giving me sttuters, the same as on my old Quadro 2000 GPU. Do you think it the BIG OEM CPU Heatsink Fan should be replaced with a new one after upgrading the cpu? It started to get loud, despite I just cleaned the whole pc before upgrading my GPU, and it only ran fine two days then it started kinda looking like "throttling" but the temperatures were no more than 60C. Thanks again, appreciate the elaboration.

I plan to do so in the upcoming Intel 11th generation and Nvidia's 3000 Series GPUs, building the whole setup. But at the moment i'm left only with those options.

Not really sure if Xeon 1680 would be compatible with my socket (LGA 1156) since it is FCLGA2011. That way I have to build a whole new setup, since in my country there aren't really "used" PCs around here, they do only sell new ones which for me would be pointless to build a new build when the 11th Gen Intel CPUs and Nvidias 3000 Series are close to get released.

Are you using Windows 8 in that screenshot. Worth to keep in mind that 11th gen will be a different architecture (6000-10000 series have been based on Skylake) so Windows 7 and 8 might not work anymore. Nvidia might drop support as well for their next series. Legacy BIOS will be discontinued as well (most likely with 11th gen): https://www.anandtech.com/show/12068/in ... fi-by-2020
