running 2 240hz monitors

So I heard that when you use 2 monitors if you have things opened on the second monitor that winodows runs at the refresh rate of the lowest monitors? Or was it input lag? It was one of the two. I wanted to know if it was worth unboxing my other 240hz monitor thats been sitting there and use it across my other 240hz monitor. As opposed to the 60hz I have
