so what's up with evga also having 8khz??? this surely never was a Razer exclusive deal in terms of that part that handles hz on mcu? who makes these mcu? is that part even sold separately?

they use 3389 tho, and they used 2 lod sensors on somewhat wrong positions, to achieve only 0.4mm..that may or may not be what 3399 can achieve as well, and officially it has been said that 3399>3370>3389 in motion delay and various other things.....but I'm starting to see some people argue for 3389 in similar manner people argued for 3310 or 3360 against 3389 lol. what hobby am I even wasting my time in...I feel ever so more cynical and nilistic, I hope this thing doesn't drop price in half by end of month or next because it's not about the money as much as it is about an attitude customers are being treated with respect or not, as always.

I don't think Razer has any exclusivity on specific microcontrollers.

Aside from 8000hz polling rate the X17 seems like a very bad mice in terms of weight, switch quality, shape, cable...

yeah the shape feels a bit 2010s but at least it has a recessed left rear which I believe is righty ergo done right.

And the m1 should indeed be shorter I think.

Isn't Razer opticals just rebranded from LK?

The weight, people are doing polar extreme arguments on reddit as usual lol. For being a resident pubg lurker (not alone waiting on that new map hopefully bigger and permanent) I wouldn't say no to double dpi and side scrolls.

where do you see details of cables?

I'm curious about the decision to move sniper button to where side buttons are, a bit higher than normal duo side buttons that is. and they threw side buttons into where a mid-front positioned sniper button would be.. this might actually be easier to use than even the basilisk....AND x17 being rated 103g it's lighter (4grams) than the basilisk gen1 and basilisk ultimate. this is very clearly targeted to carve some market out of the basilisk/g502/etc users--and it has weights features from the 2010s too it seems, up to 123g, so like kone area.

the new naga line has done well in terms of weight, the logitech-esque "new" buttons are only on the pro which is heavier than this, the lighter one doesn't have fancy new button layout like this and is also wired---again I don't play mmo these years but I'm still lurking and interested.

I still see people with 3090 rig claiming that the viper 8khz doesn't work for them which to me is completely absurd and unbelievable. Is that what stops other brands from wanting in on this?

I warned about this earlier in the thread - Configuring to 2KHz and 4KHz is a great compromise when specific motherboards/systems contains flaws that prevent full 8KHz operation in all games. A lot of this is beyond the mouse control.

This is just like the old 1000 Hz days 15 years ago all over again, where 500 Hz needed to be used instead of 1000 Hz, since there were many systems that couldn't handle the 1000 Hz USB poll rate.

A manufacturer had to be the first (e.g. Razer) which will help trailblaze the industry (motherboard manufacturers, software, etc) and will make 8KHz more compatible.

P.S. I notice you've been hammering this thread with lots of replies, I may split this thread, to give other forum members fair time on this thread.

I don't know why he insist that people not use max dpi when he could simply just say max only for sensors without smoothing. Windows does not affect any game with in game sens no? Youtube comments are buggy I can't comment there.

I'd be interested to see if E-Sport coaches use this Battle Non-sense video as evidence to get their players to optimize their configurations when money is on the line. i.e., stop using 400 DPI and 500hz polling.

It was interesting to see the motion latency was significantly lower-variance at 3200DPI vs 1600DPI.
However, PMW3389 has (more) smoothing above 2000DPI, so maybe not worth it.

not every 3389, razer put smoothing above it, that's what people tested. that's very old info. gwolves certainly don't have it. or at least that's what they claim. even that is like 2 years old news. there should easily be an option to turn it off for any mouse maker buying 3389 in bulk consulting with the oem, or have their methods to make their firmware/software, just as xm1 always had an option to turn it on for every user. This "battlenonsense" and many other KOLs basically aren't very versed in all this basic gaming mice detail yet they think they deserve a bigger voice and sway...smh

What specifically you mean by that? At what point in the video do you think he gave uninformed advice?
