Benq xl2411p problem

Post by Krankes95 » 27 Dec 2020, 14:37

Hey everyone,

I have a big or small problem with the refresh rate while playing, I don't know

I have a benq xl2411p 144hz monitor
My rest pc spec
Gpu: 1660 super
Cpu: 5 3600x (constant clock speed)
Motherboard: Msi b450 gaming plus max
Ram: HyperX 2x8gb (3200hz)
Win 10 on ssd

cs go on ssd

When I have these 300fps + while playing cs go, everything is smooth, no suttering, but when the fps drops to 230-250 my image is terribly not smooth, as if my monitor refresh was decreasing from 144hz to 60, or the monitor is not doing the refreshing, I do not know.

My question / request is if there is some way to fix this error.

I wish it was smooth at these 200-400 fps.
I understand that if my fps fell below this refresh rate (144), such suttering would suttering, but I have almost 2x as much.

In cs I have the start parameters -freq 144 and when I enter the mat_info command it is 144hz

Everything is turned off in windows, game modes and other crap that worsens the computer's condition.

In cs, when I turn on the full screen in the window, everything is smooth.

I also used the nvidia profile inspector application and when i set it there
frame rate limiter 144 this is smooth, but i feel a lot of inputlag.

I wish this game ran smoothly on the 200-400 because it's not small fps and it should be all smooth, and it's not.

Maybe it's just the fact that the game is fucking optimized, and I'm telling myself that something is wrong with my pc

Anyone have any advice or questions? I am open to cooperation and testing. Thanks for your time for me.

Having the same problem, with 3 different monitors and 2 PCs in my apartament. So far I am not able to find the solution for this. My games look like it's 75Hz maximum.

There is a chance its just a heavy stuttering happening when your pc is on heavy loads, if possible post your frame time graphs when the problem is happening to rule out this possibility.

yeah i have it also, if you cant get higher fps in that situation the only solutions are 1. resolution down to get higher fps or 2. overclocking your monitor. i did the second one and got 200hz and the stutter is gone and it is still smooth with 200-240fps

could you tell me how you did it Do you have a tutorial? I'm totally green at it, but I care a lot and I have to fix it, because it won't crack anymore? @readtext

CPU usage is at 20% and the graphics card is also at 20% temepratury during the 40c gpu
a cpu 50c

Tell me exactly which chart is it? Cpu chart in task manager? @Ragerlis

I also don't think it's a problem, I don't have a computer for half a year.

Sounds like the big change in fps causes stutters and it looks like crap to you. Capping the fps to 144fps, or capping to exactly to the monitor refresh rate (which could be 143.95fps) should fix this and keep the input lag the same, no sure why you're feeling less input lag, probably placebo as my measurements showed no input lag change comparing on a 120hz monitor and uncapping it as far as 300+fps.
Enable exclusive fullscreen mode as this will disable dwm and reduce your input lag by about 10ms, or more, will give you vsync tearing if you don't configure it properly though.
