Not true... I used this to queue units faster in RTS, it is very noticeable, it works... There is otherwise like 250ms delay+ before pressed key starts repeating itself... Maybe it doesn't work in every game, but it worked for me in CS GO and SC2...

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
Bro I know how the delay works, but in csgo there is no such delay applied 100%. You think people could peak a croner with 250ms delay between first and second key input? Go try again, you are imagening things...
Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
CSGO uses a toggle for movement.
+moveleft
+jump
+speed
... and so on.
It is going to "hold" the action while the key is pressed. It didn't depend on repetition for anything.
Just disable the repeating option; you can still move perfectly.

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
Toggle, how would game differentiate between 1 keypress and holding down a key? All this does is that keypresses start to repeat sooner, when you hold down W. So you start moving sooner. But it won't affect your moving speed (when you move).
You can't disable it, only change a value. I used this and it worked...

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
omg you really don't get it...
Go into csgo and put delay on lowest value and test. Then put highest delay value and test again. 0 difference.

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
you are absolutely right.
Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
As I said I used it awhile ago like 2016 or what. And it worked. Maybe it was changed...

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
It's the same thing since the first version of CS in Goldsrc more than 21 years ago. Even Half-Life worked that way.

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
Maybe you are right about CS GO. I don't have CS GO installed, but it doesn't work in Battlefield 1. But it worked for me in SC2!!! If you write you can see clearly a delay, before it start repeating chars. I could queue units much faster using this, instead of clicking them manually. Otherwise there was this annoying delay and it didn't start queuing right away! So I thought it works, because of that probably. Hmm I could swear this worked in CS GO as well, after using this: it was harder to do small adjustments, because I started moving so fast. Maybe because I wasn't using raw_input? Not sure, if raw_input is used to gather keyboard data as well. Or it could be placebo, that is possible too.andrelip wrote: ↑19 Mar 2021, 12:21It's the same thing since the first version of CS in Goldsrc more than 21 years ago. Even Half-Life worked that way.

Re: Reduce Input Delay (Mouse & Keyboard Buffer Size)
It's called a buffer overflow.thizito wrote: ↑25 Jan 2021, 07:40He have zero clue about what it does. As u can see him recomending 10hex that is a low enough value that the device can malfunction like missing clicks, stop tracking.. till u replug usb.
It is buffer size, the name literally says what it is.
Im not genious. But this is old, bad and questionably.
As changes are not noticiable and yes i have good pc. 480fps240hz36ns
