Is there a way to make DX12 games run in "true" fullscreen mode?

I tried to make my own thread about this but it is flagged as spam, I presume since the OP is too similar to the post above, not really sure to what extent the system expects me to rewrite it though so I'm bumping this thread instead. Please let me know if theres a better what to get help than this, cheers for reading.
