So after playing Battlefield 5 i run Control , 1440P Rt High. When level loaded i turned camera by mouse and game freezed for 3 second with gpu load 0%. After 3 seconds unfreezed and i was able to play. Is my pc unstable or it was game issue? Gpu is not oced.
I ask because it never happened something like this in this game. I was played many time.
Control freeze on Rtx 3090 - is my card unstable?
Re: Control freeze on Rtx 3090 - is my card unstable?
On my 2060 super I remember having a lot of crashing issues with dark souls 3, but all other games worked fine. After searching around some guy said it helped if he downclocked his GPU, which I thought was weird since I didn't overclock my GPU, but I gave it a go cause I was out of options. I reduced the core clock by 100mhz and that seemed to do it, game didn't crash one bit anymore.
Maybe lower might help? But in my situation it would crash rather than freeze. It's pretty easy to do anyway, just go on MSI afterburner and lower the core clock hz by 100mhz and see if you get any freezes.

Try testing a small underclock (100-200MHz lower) and/or add better cooling.
New GPUs try to crashproof itself by temporarily freezing (thermal throttling and the new GDDR6 retroactive error correction algorithm via repeat-reading the memory until successsful. GDDR6 is more advanced error correction than ECC memory, to eliminate most corrupt/flickering textures)
You’re probably very near the true-crash threshold.

Thanks for responses. But game freezed after i loaded level just for 3 seconds with gpu load 0%. Thats all. No crash. After 3 seconds unfreezed and gpu load was 99%. Also it not happened anymore, just once. So still that was gpu issue or not worry about that? I have stock card.
