Hello i have contacted my isp regarding improving some network features i saw alot of users talk about here, and they told me, in order to get those settings, you have to buy a third party router. So, what is the best price sensible router i can get ? And what differentiate routers from one another when it comes to gamin

you cannot control what the isp uses

business package with packet priority handling in the network and with nrt-VBR
(because packet priority handling is not available for regular customers)
- disabled DLM on your profile that is assigned to your customer account (DSL, ADSL, VDSL connections)
(because DLM interferes with UDP packets that FPS games are using)
- if DLM can't be disabled, at least ability to choose interleaving depth (DSL, ADSL, VDSL connections)
(call your ISP and tell them to set the lowest possible interleaving depth on your profile)

- just get an Ubiquiti ER4 and activate smartqueue (fq codel)
- you can also find specific configuration to give your gaming traffic priority.

Merlin has implemented Cake into GUI of his custom firmware. I highly recommend using Merlin.
