hello i would like to know something
my monitor: MSI mag 251rx
if i create custom screen resolution via nvidia control panel
namely:
1920х1600 4:3 best in csgo
1920x1228 16:10
and the rest that exceed my native resolution
whether they will give additional input latency from the monitor or video card
if i select them when scaling

Okay, problem is still here.I buy new pc and monitor(2nd hand from friend where i cant feel this problem or it is much less. I tried 8 different locations ,all around 10-15km in every direction from my home, problem still here.

My question now is- Can i for sure rule out electricity and internet ,because i tried 8 different locations with different internet ? (im asking because i read somewhere that electicity can "infect" hardware ,but im not sure.

I played from friend house and pc,im not 100% sure everything is perfect there, because i played 2 hours ,but for sure its much better than in my house with my pc ,we have same cpu and ram,the difference is that i have gtx 970 and he have 1070ti (cpu is 5600x , fps is same)

It is possible that i need newer video card ,because my gtx 970 is old and cant work properly with new cpus despite high fps?

Also i have same problem in cs 1.6 and again if i play in deathmatch i never feel this problem.

Between 1060 and 2060 was up to 7ms input lag difference in csgo if i remember well and 12ms in overwatch so the better GPU may help a lot. 970 vs 1070ti have similar performance like these 2 examples. Look at this - https://youtu.be/WHBMxOPAqWc?t=115 there is definitelly a diff unfortunatelly they didnt test csgo and its buggy source engine (source of problems). However i remember a g-sync test and with g-sync off the system render lag diff was similar to 7ms between cards with that performance diff.
Unfortunatelly, its only one of many sources of input lag, raw input lag is possible to cut down by better GPU or GPU tuning to reduce its render queue to zero, but you need to count with other aspects (electricity, freesync/g-sync delay and stutter, DP cable quality, game parameters tuning...)

On the other hand, the GPU diff is noticable, at my laptop with 3060 130W and less fps i feel the game mostly more responsible than at my desktop with 1660S and more fps.

Ty for reply. Its very strange, because i never feel this lag in 128 tick deathmatches or offline.Even if the newer gpu cut down overall input lag ,im not sure if the problem which i have in mm,faceit, retakes, community servers will be fixed :/

Just to update

Moved to new building (built in 2021) , new pc new everything ,same problem.
0 input lag in 128 tick deathmatches (20-200ms , doesnt matter) update: i said 0 but its not 0 ,still much better than mm,faceit
0 input lag in offline with bots
input lag in faceit,mm,casual,community

I also 2 months ago moved to new apartments and bought completely new pc - input lag still remains. We are cursed.

I may surprise you guys but this problems seems to exceed electricity, it’s server and internet related as well. It will be impossible to be fixed if you live in a location with bad net /servers because you need to move the hell out of there. The plan is to move out to a new country.

Im not sure if my problem is internet or electricity, because i can join any deathmatch server doesnt matter location and play without mouse input lag(again there is input lag ,but its playable) , and join any mm,faceit(5vs5),casual,community and i always have input lag.

For example i play in Brutalcs dm server ,everything is okay ,than i join in Brutalcs retake server >input lag.
Same thing with faceit when i play in faceit DM servers no input lag,but in 5vs5 faceit always have input lag.
