Yes so what I said is right though, games with reflex you are better off just having reflex on and maxing your GPU, you will get at the least the same latency as capping below 100% GPU but more likely will get a few fps more.

Unless for consistency or another reason and you want to cap to a consistent fps number all the time.
Yeah, but the difference is so small, it could even be an error. Its funny how nvidia took already integrated fps limiters, flipped it around and called it their nvidia Reflex. Similar story with G-Sync Compatible monitors.
What I'd like to see from nvidia or amd is limiter for games don't have the option. And code it so that it doesn't add lag like amd chill or nvidia max framerate.

I should of noted that he capped framerate at 60fps with 92-95% gpu load, and Reflex caps it at 63-64fps with 99%. So that could mean if he also capped it at 64fps like Reflex does, the gpu usage would of been much more similar.
But ultimately anything new they introduce is for ease of use.

So if figuring out what fps you need to cap to use just under 100% GPU all the time gives the same input latency reduction as just leaving it to run freely but have Reflex on you don't have to worry about it, just leave it to do its thing.

Hi,

i have been reading all the threads here and wanted to confirm the best settings to get the lowest input lag in cod warzone.

hardware specs:
i9 10850k
3090
Samsung g7 monitor with gsync (1440p at 240hz)

i get around 160-180fps in game these days (used to be more but this goes down every update)

current set up:

reflex low latency: on + boost
in game settings on low
play at 1440p
g sync on
v sync off
no frame limit

would like to run filters in game, but as i understand they increase input lag and they drop my fps around 15.

wondering if there is any settings i am missing or that i should have to get better input lag? (e.g. turn g sync off)

thanks
For the competitive, I'd try "1080p" to take advantage of 240hz with 240 fps caps without g-sync.
its funny if i switch to 1080p my frames are around the same as at 1440p (maybe around 10 higher). i think at 1080p its more cpu limited and doesnt take full advantage of the 3090. but yes all of the well known streamers have the same specs as me and use 1080p all settings on low.

I have AA turned to the max as the game looks terrible without it.

There is also DLSS now and there is dynamic resolution, but I guess that is opening another can of worms

What is the best setting for less input lag on nvidia scaling? (GPU) -aspect ratio -full screen or -no scaling? and i will have chek the box down?

i dont know if it helps but try this.

Go to youre device Manager and search for communication connection com1. Right click on it and under the connectionsettings change the "flowcontroll" to hardware and apply it. after that click on advanced and dissable the FIFO Buffer

what does this do? I googled a bit but it wasnt clear how it would help input lag.

i also recently set the windows timer resolution to 0.5ms. havent noticed any differences so far

You read this one
viewtopic.php?p=59938#p59938
seems a bit complicated tbh.

Does anyone here have any thoughts on DLSS? on or off?

Idk why, but my input lag becomes better on 2k monitor when I set there my in game resolution 1280*960
