ive been using macrium reflect its free/portable and works well. i have 3 ssd drives hooked up, 1 for storage(1tb), 1 for main os(120gb), 1 that has the fresh install with windows and everything feels great(120gb) this one is disabled and only enabled when i need to clone. when my main os drive feels like crap i just simply enable my fresh install ssd and clone it to my os drive. takes like 4 minutes and everything feels good again.

You copying the whole windows files from youre fresh installed OS and overwrite everything on youre main os ?

Exactly. It saves so much time, especially if you did your preferred tweaks you don't have to redo everything it will clone in less than 4 minutes, rinse and repeat when the os starts to feel muddy.

Thanks for sharing your tip on how to keep your Windows install feeling snappy. I've heard of Deep Freeze and Shadow Defender but never considered using them to keep my Windows setup running smoothly. That's a great idea!

It's not 4 minutes. It takes over 15 minutes to clone.
