While playing on aim map with bots and changing some settings in config, just out of curiosity I set volume to 0 in the console. Then from snd_mixahead 0.01 to 0.025 because it's giving different mouse feel (no idea why but I trust me or not, I am not alone) and CS:GO became smooth like a hell. No stutters while shooting and spraying. Then joined DM because I couldn't believe in the change and it was still there.
I knew that my stuttery spray was somehow related to the in-game sound but I can't really explain why is this happening. I've had external Creative sound card, but it didn't change anything. Perhaps somebody can check it by yourself and confirm that your experience is the same?
CS:GO Sound related stutters - interesting observation

I never considered you as a bright person but no. It wasn't about disabling it but uninstalling tons of crappy software that controls it. How about your toroids guys? Already started wearing it on your neck?
Re: CS:GO Sound related stutters - interesting observation
I'll try it later when I get home. I have tried a lot of different things, also tried this but not on every soundcard:).a_c_r_e_a_l wrote: ↑06 Oct 2021, 20:29While playing on aim map with bots and changing some settings in config, just out of curiosity I set volume to 0 in the console. And also what have happened to this forum? Alot of negative comments lately....
Re: CS:GO Sound related stutters - interesting observation
Yeah, some of them are coming from particular discord channel under Charles Manson in charge. Just ignore.
So volume 0 is giving me much more controllable sprays but still trying to find out why it gave me such a nice smoothness ingame.

Cool solution, what next, turn off your pc monitor and playing with black screen? Perhaps simply closing your eyes so you dont see the lag? I mean if u dont see the lag then there's no lag isn't that the truth

Reading comprehension is a skill acquired in primary school, so why should I even take you seriously? Did I use a word "solution"? Don't waste our time with your "thoughts".
PS. Ok so something new to me: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Soundcache As I understand CS:GO is streaming audio for few years and that's why you can't rebuild or update sound cache which, from my research, was giving some relief with stutters, crappy spray control etc. years back. We can come to a conclusion, that every imperfection of your internet connection can cause problems with receiving sound in real-time, which badly affects your gaming experience and this would explain why "volume 0" gives such a big improvement.

Wonder if putting the sound card on the CPU lanes and disabling 3D sound effects etc in the sound card properties will reduce the issue. Possibly using low 16bit CD quality too...
