paramtre gsync and input lag

Post by roro13200 » 21 Oct 2021, 12:01

Hello

I am coming to seek your help because I have been tearing my hair for months!

I mainly play street fighter 5
I have a 165HZ gsync tuff screen and a 144HZ freesync aoc
ryzen 7 3700X rtx 2060 16GB of ram 3200mhz

I'm looking for the best display and input lag parameters if it's possible lol

the game is capped at 60FPS and does not support basic gsync, but this is possible by forcing it with nvi

a very weird thing that happens to me when I launch the game after a few minutes the movement becomes blurry, my character's face is not even visible when he is walking.

thank you for your future help :)

and sorry for my english

thank you for your reply

I had read this article, but I don't feel it talks about the case where the refresh rate exceeds the frame rate.
my games are stuck at 60fps because it works like that.
moreover i tried nvcp vsync with gsync but the image hurts my eyes, and the movements are jerky for some reason.

At 60 FPS 144Hz the framerate is already 84 frames within the G-SYNC range, and at 60 FPS 165Hz, the framerate is already 105 frames within the G-SYNC range. G-SYNC will function correctly in this case.

You don't need to set an FPS limit if the game already has a 60 FPS cap and you have the refresh rate set to 144 or 165Hz. You only need to set a manual minimum -3 FPS limit below the current max refresh rate if your framerate can exceed the refresh rate, at which point G-SYNC no longer functions.

The only thing the V-SYNC option does with G-SYNC with the framerate inside the refresh rate is ensure tearing is prevented 100% of the time, nothing more.

Whatever you're experiencing is due to something else. Make sure G-SYNC is actually functioning in that instance.

thank you !

the game does not have an option to disable vsync, to do so you have to modify an ini file.
I have to modify the ini file and rather activate the vsync of nvcp?

how do i make sure gsync? works correctly ?

sorry but i am a beginner

You can use the game's V-SYNC and leave NVCP V-SYNC disabled in this case.

1. Verify that one or both of your monitor models are officially "G-SYNC Compatible":
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/pr ... ors/specs/

If they aren't on the above list, there's no guarantee G-SYNC will work properly in all instances.

1. Make sure you have G-SYNC activated in the NVCP:

2. Enable the G-SYNC indicator:

3. Download the G-SYNC Pendulum demo and test to see if the indicator appears and G-SYNC works properly when you have the G-SYNC option in the demo checked:
https://us.download.nvidia.com/download ... C_1.13.exe

thank you for your answers ! It's nice to find help.

for low latency mode, do I have it off, on or on?

With G-SYNC, Low Latency Mode "On" is generally fine to use.
