CSGO sound issues part 2

Post by Anonymous768119 » 31 Oct 2021, 13:35

With reference to the previous topic: viewtopic.php?t=9205 I am almost convinced, why playing CS:GO without sound is giving much better inputs (which many users confirmed).

Out of curiosity I opened CS:GO and LatencyMon to see, how the game is affecting latencies and I saw that nvlddmkm.sys goes red with 5-6 ms latency, which is very high.

When you google it you can see, that it causes a lot of problems and BSODs. Although fixing it is quite problematic, somehow I managed to lower its latency to optimal level. Not sure what really did the trick, but this is what I've done:

- reinstalling Nvidia driver with DDU (in safe mode of course and with Nvidia HD audio)
- restarting BIOS and leaving it default (which means no XMP and DOCP, my RAMs are running at 2133MHz instead of 3600)
- maximum performance in nvidia power settings
- reinstalling audio drivers
- changing my GPU to Silent mode instead of BIOS OC (a little switch on your GPU if you have any)

And volia

Just to be clear it didn't fix all my issues but CS:GO works pretty crisp and it's much easier to one tap. Almost the same feeling like playing without sound.

well i dont think this DPC is the issue i got higher DPC than you… like 900 ns whats the diference betwen 900 and 400 if dude with 50ms ping have advantage on player with 10 ping.

Did you even check what is DPC latency or just added 900ns to your ping?

The lag came back didn't it lol
There's no solution to this my dear that's it
I just downloaded Minecraft and loaded some nice shaders + nice textures, this is going to be my game from now on, it doesn't require fast inputs like csgo etc and also i would put my 4k pc to better use

My only issues are desync and hit registration. Inputs are fine so far and I managed to fix it with some small tweaks and uninstalling crappy rgb software. There was a modernization of electricity in my building and now I can have normal 3 core cables with neutral and ground separate so in few days will be clear if wiring in my apartment is faulty or no. Btw when I opened some old wall junction boxes, the cables were connected by twisting. I couldn't believe that somebody was so stupid to do so. Additionaly, all sockets are connected to one fuse so changing them were not giving any effects like for the others.
