Placebo hit-reg tweaks?

Post by u0ch » 23 Jan 2022, 00:03

People are sending me this type of tweaks to get better hit-reg

netsh int tcp set global nonsackrttresiliency=disabled
netsh int tcp set security mpp=disabled
netsh int tcp set security profiles=disabled
netsh int tcp set security mpp=disabled profiles=disabled
netsh int tcp set supplemental internet congestionprovider=ctcp
Reg.exe add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters" /v "DisableIPSourceRouting" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\ServiceProvider]
"LocalPriority"=dword:00000004
"HostsPriority"=dword:00000005
"DnsPriority"=dword:00000006
"NetbtPriority"=dword:00000007

These settings only affect TCP protocol right? and have nothing to do with UDP. I mean almost all games use UDP to connect.
Or do they really do something?

Hitreg is fully controlled by youre internet connection/ISP which cames from the streets, directly to youre home/PC. There are none "Hitreg improvements" via some magic regedit edits or some other OS bs. YOU have no control over that whats in youre home is coming. The only thing which can affect youre gameplay online is a VPN/Proxy which might bypass youre own shitty ISP routing or youre ISP itself. Thats it.

These look like TCP "tweaks" but most online multiplayer games are using UDP... so yea, these are placebo.
