Figured out why mouse random sensitivity games its windows fullscreen optimization

I've made so many changes windows no matter what id get crap mouse response games. More so inconsistent latency like when audio is high quality in game mouse feels floaty. Ive messed with regedit multimedia class schedule and didnt work.

I realized if alt-tab out game and back in it was fine. Come find out it was defaulting window Fullscreen borderless. I go back into setting set Fullscreen random sensitivity is back.

Its shit windows full screen optimization its garbage and does not work with fullscreen games. multimedia task scheduler is constantly changing prioty to audio/game/windows management..ect

Anyways fix regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore
Now right click on Explorer. Select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value add GameDVR_FSEBehavior set value 2

2: Disable Fullscreen optimizations.
0: Enable Fullscreen optimizations.

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-d ... windows-10

Another way right click game shortcut/compatibility and you can check option disable Fullscreen optimizations but you have to do to everygame.

Yea good catch, don't think GameDVR_DSEBehavior exists.

Has anyone done this its still working great. I also use gsync idk if Microsoft messed everything up with forcing global FS optimization but ever since i added to disable globally no weird floaty mouse. I think its causes timing issues with other multimedia schedulers. in
]HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\Tasks*

Also changed win32prioty 37
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\PriorityControl
Win32PrioritySeparation"=dword:00000037

bcdedit /set tscsyncpolicy enhance
bcdedit /set useplatformtick no
bcdedit /set uselegacyapicmode no

And even more snappy

Sorry i missed post can repost here?

Also, computer feels great still after disabling FSO all games and windows/apps mouse sensitivity doesn't change, feel off or even floaty
I even went reloaded all my BIOS OC settings that I made threads about thinking were causing issue and no issues at all.

Have tried these settings, but am still getting hitching.

Funnily, am trying that new br ‘vampire: the maskerade’, and have noticed the behaviour you previously mentioned, seems it’s extremely noticeable in this game.

When in the pre-game area (where you find the quests) this hitching happens frequently.

The instant it occurs I hit alt tab out and back in and it’s back to normal.

The best description of this I can offer is that it feels like windows is messing up what apps it is focusing on in the foreground and when hitching happens, feels EXACTLY like the game is running in reduced framerate mode for background applications.

Some games include this option in their settings ie. Background max frame rate.

But yeah, I wonder if there’s a reg tweak for background/ foreground app optimisation?

Edit: Had a quick peek, and saw the best value to optimise foreground apps is 26. https://www.blogsdna.com/27355/how-to-s ... ime%2FHigh.

Will see if that makes any difference.

This still working

Do both disable fullscreen optimization and those bcdedit commands and change Win32PrioritySeparation to 37

Im currently on win11 but don't think matters same issues on both OS Fullscreen optimization sucks IDK if for everyone of people using gsync
