benq zowie xl2546k frame dropping/ghosting

Post by hEnzeee » 24 Jun 2021, 08:10

Hello everyone! I recently noticed that my CSGO was starting to feel unsmooth. And almost unplayable at high phase.

So I went on to the OFFLINE server and checked some things. And it appears like some sort of "ghosting" when I am running left and right in front of a player model, it defiantly not "stutter" that's for sure, and var is all good, not jumpy and no spikes. It's just that "unclear" image when moving. I have tried to cap my fps to 300/400 and the problem got a lot worse. Normal I use fps_max 0 and it runs smooth af. It started a couple of days ago, and I literally tried everything to my knowledge. different mouses, formatting on different OS all the same problem. looked everywhere on google. Found one post that was kinda looking like my problem, he fixed it very simply by changing the mouse.

But yeah, it's almost like the player models are "vibrating" if I take off dyac/ama then it will get worse by a lot.

I hope someone can help me out.

Im using
benq zowie xl2546k
rtx 3070 GPU
i7-10700k cpu OC 5.1
asus rog strix z390-e gaming mobo

if you're sure the monitor is running at 240Hz with no frameskipping, and that issue happens in other games, it sounds like your monitor has pixel inversions issues.(you need to return it)

I'm 100% sure that it is running on 240 Hz and I've tried everything to solve the problem. It just started out of nowhere. But yeah I guess i have to return the monitor then 😬

But how do I explain it to the customer service? :)

Ghosting can change on XL2546K with monitor settings.
1. Try turning on/off DyAc
2. Try turning on/off VRR
3. Try a factory reset of your XL2546K

Try taking a photograph of a TestUFO test such as www.testufo.com/ghosting and see if you're able to capture something resembling WYSIWYG.
- Try stationary photo;
- Try waving smartphone following UFOs while taking photo; (this is called "pursuit camera")
