BenQ XL 2411T or XL2411Z

Post by blunt » 09 Aug 2014, 05:08

Hello Guys,

I just got my XL2411T or XL2411Z.
Now I am not sure what modell this is. It is sold as a 2411T but on the label on the back its written 2411Z and also Windows recognized it as XL2411Z. How can I be sure now what modell it is. I am from Switzerland (Europe).
Can I update to V2 ?

Can anyone help me?

Another question is - I got really confused when reading about lightboost.
Since I am on Firmware V1 I am not sure what I can do now.

*Edit: I am not sure but I did try Strobelight and it said "No compatible Monitors found". So am I assuming correct, thats its a xl2411Z - since the only the xl2411t is supported?

Can anyone help me with that too?

Thanks for any reply.

ok got it sorted out.
If it may help anyone - if your not sure if its 2411T or Z -> Just run Strobelight and if you monitor is supported its a "T" modell.
In my case it wasnt - I updated the firmware to V2 using Linux.
All good now :)

Very interesting!

Did it ship in an XL2411T box?
Where did you buy it?

The good news is that the Z series (Version 2) is better than XL2411T, so you lucked out.
