[HELP] No BENQ Z-Series monitors have been detected

Post by tuutz » 14 Oct 2014, 15:35

I bought a XL2411Z today. It has Firmware version V002-20131209.

The strobe utility says to try reinstalling monitor driver. How do I even install any drivers? :D I checked the CD and there is nothing useful.

Do a "check for windows update" from the control panel of your PC and it will detect the driver, that's how it installed mine on Windows 8.1.

Turn the monitor off,
Enter the secondary service menu, by powering it on by holding down button #3 and #4 (at the same time) while pressing the power button, release the power button while holding down 3 and 4 still.
When the leds' flash, release all of the buttons.

Press button 5 to enter the secondary service menu (usually this enters the OSD)

Then press buttons 1 and 2 to scroll up/down to burnin and then press button 3 (or 4 ,whichever one is enter) to turn burnin off. Then press the bottom button (5) to exit.

Then power cycle it.
The regular service menu is holding down button #4 only ,while pressing power (that's where the input detection and strobe settings are, for that one, after you activate it, button 4 (not 5) enters it).

How are you numbering the buttons? Left to right: 1 2 3 4 5 Power, or right to left: 5 4 3 2 1 Power.

I cant get the secondary service menu to open, only the standard one.

EDIT: got windows to update the drivers and now the software works

But my buttons go from left to right, huh? (They are at the bottom of the screen)
