So what are the best settings with lowest input lag & response time (without Blur Reuction) for gaming ?

I use

STROBE DUTY: 001
STROBE PHASE: 000
SINGLE STROBE -OFF

Ahem.
You posted blur reduction settings. These don't affect anything if blur reduction is off.
There are no settings you can change for blur reduction=off, except to have Instant Mode=On. But it's on by default.
So you don't have to change anything. Just use 144hz and vsync off.

The Benq Z series monitors have a very bad overdrive problem if Blur Reduction is OFF, however.
This has nothing to do with input lag, but the monitors are almost unusable with blur reduction off, because of the horrible overdrive inverse ghosting, which is WORSE than when blur reduction is on.

You can fix this (temporarily), but this requires exploiting a "bug" with blur reduction on.
Easiest way to do this (it's harder on the XL2411Z because you don't have the "S switch" for super easy Gamer presets):

1) Save a copy of Picture Advanced->Picture Mode->Standard Mode--with blur reduction OFF, into "Gamer 1"
2) Save a copy of the same mode, same settings, but with blur reduction ON, into "Gamer 2"

(this is only to make things easier).
3) Activate Gamer preset 2. Blur reduction will be "on"
Have this test running fullscreen: watch the inverse ghosting.

4) Go to Picture->AMA->High->Move slider to Off (or Premium)->Move slider back to "high", exit.
This will reduce the AMA overdrive slightly (hidden setting). The inverse ghosting should have been reduced. I call this "AMA Low."
(If you were gaming with blur reduction on, you're done. Just do NOT change ANY strobe settings, monitor Brightness, or refresh rate or resolution, or you have to do step 4 again, because the AMA will reset)

(A shortcut is to highlight "high", if it's already on "high", and press "back" instead of "Enter/confirm". This also recalibrates the AMA.

5) Activate Gamer 1 preset.
This will DISABLE blur reduction via a preset, causing a HELPFUL bug. The bug is, the "AMA low" we just used will get applied to blur reduction off, improving the overdrive. There is no other way to do this. If you disable blur reduction from OSD, it will use the "Normal" AMA value instead.

You can change monitor brightness without making the AMA reset if blur reduction is off. Just don't change resolution, refreshrate, any other display or picture advanced setting, or you will have to do steps 4-5 again.

Your monitor will go from this:

To a "close" form of this (this perfect overdrive is XL2720Z; the XL2420Z/XL2411Z will have more inverse ghosting, but still a lot less than the first picture).

I was just wondering - Is it possible to calculate my exact input lag (ms) taking everything in to consideration - with the tweaks and settings i'm using:

VT 1500 Twaek (@120Hz)

Strobe Duty: 6
Strobe Phase: 44

Blur reduction: on
Vsync: off

If i'm understanding everything correctly... (without taking blur reduction in to consideration - if it has any effect on the input lag in this case):

0.167 (base persistence for 60hz) x 06 (strobe duty) ~1ms

should i add that together with the standard 8.3ms for 120Hz and does blur reduction add anything extra further to the input lag?

With that strobe phase, input lag just from blur reduction will be close to half a frame (4.3ms or so). This is in addition to any input lag from using Vsync=On (which will exist with or without blur reduction, regardless of monitor).

If you had a strobe phase of 000 instead of 044, it would be 1 frame + half a frame (8.3ms+4.3ms).
I suggest you ask Strobemaster about this. he has tools to measure this. I don't, and usually what I write here about this input lag stuff isn't very accurate.

Thanks - The reason for my curiosity is that I want to examine how much my input lag increases when I use the above settings - over a standard 144hz with blur reduction off - how do i locate this "Strobemaster" ? :)
