There is no sweet spot.
Depends on if you want lowest crosstalk or lowest input lag.

Lowest crosstalk = strobe phase 000 (but there may be crosstalk at the TOP of the screen if strobe DUTY is increased past 003).

Lowest input lag is even more complicated.
= Strobe phase =100 WITHOUT Vertical Total Tweak
=Strobe Phase X # of points BEFORE Backlight "Shut off" point WITH Vertical Total tweak (backlight will only shut off if blur reduction is on)---this number of points BEFORE the backlight shuts off is the STROBE DUTY IN REVERSE.

Example: 120hz, VT 1500 tweak :
Strobe phase 050=backlight off (until you turn off Blur Reduction via OSD or s-switch)
Strobe Phase 049=Strobe duty 001
Strobe phase 044=Strobe Duty 006 (Duty 005-001 will still work. Duty 007 and higher will be ignored and capped at Duty=006).

I can't explain this further without repeating myself from other threads. Please read my VT tweak thread for more information.

SS=forces 1 strobe per refresh interval at lower than 100 hz, allows strobe phase/duty to work lower than 100hz, makes custom resolutions with VT tweaks strobe properly at lower than 100hz.

Setting is ignored at 100-144 hz.
In V2 firmware, a bug required that SS be enabled at all times or strobe settings might not apply correctly even at >100hz. This was fixed in newer firmware.

if your firmware is higher than 002, then yes you can. As I said before, this setting is ignored at higher than 99 hz.

But just wondering, why exactly DO you want it disabled?

To be clear.

This is the ama hack you're talking about ?

Yes, basically, although you don't need the strobe utility running like that.

You just enable blur reduction and then do what he showed.
1) move AMA slider from off to premium then back to high and confirm (this will recalibrate AMA high and overwrite the default blur reduction on version with a lower intensity amount)
or
hghlight AMA "high" and don't confirm, just hit back, and it will recalibrate it anyway (the recalibration is what im talking about).

I've found out that these are the best settings for me :)

Duty 5 and Phase 16. With the ama hack.

Also, i've found out that playing with strobe phase from 100 to 000 (i think that's the min, 000), and watching alien invasion test. Decreasing from 100, gradually, it just makes the ghosting effect, bouncing around the screen, in a straight line. Like, starting from the top of the screen, and decreases down, when i lower the phase from 100.

And the same, only the other way around, when increasing the phase.

So regarding phase. I cannon have the whole screen clear, without ghosting ? While using motion blur reduction, i will always have one portion of the screen (up or down) with some ghosting no ?
