Thank you, as far as a PS4 is concerned does it matter if you use the menu or application method ?

The application is easier for many because you do not have to go to Factory Menu mode.
But if you don't have access to a PC, you can use the Factory Menu. Just play something horizontal panning at 60 frames per second while adjusting, or run www.testufo.com/crosstalk in full screen on the console's web browser.
