XL2746s Bug

Post by Spacepotato87 » 11 Jun 2020, 05:07

Just sharing it here, so others will know what to do.

I recently bought the XL2746s, everything works as expected except profile switching from a profile with dyac off to a profile with dyac on.
The monitor will go blank, blackscreen, switch back and fort. All your windows on desktop will be displaced back and fort.

Extremly annoying. especially if you use hdmi 2.0, the only way to get out of blackscreen switching is to pull off your hdmi cable.

So I reached out to benq thailand, because I live in Phuket.

They kindly sent me a new unit with an upgraded firmware. They said they first had to wait until for some tool to arrive from Benq (global i guess), so they can upgrade the firmware on the new unit from v001 to v002.

Now I'm using the new firmware and happy to report that switching profiles between dyac off and on works perfect.

for now no, benq has to upgrade it with some internal tools.

Thank you for your service :)
Does the NEW unit also DOUBLE STROBE with blur reduction (Dyac) at 60hz refresh rate ? :(:(:(
Double strobe is extremely obvious. On test UFO/alien invasion, you will see a very obvious double image UFO no matter what the intensity or area settings are, across the entire image. Single strobe will at least have a glass smooth UFO (on double image) through part of the screen at 960 kp/s.
