XL2546 vs XL2546K?

Post by cheater » 24 Nov 2020, 18:28

Hi all,
I had been planning to pick up an XL2546K, but I've come across someone today who wants to sell the original XL2546 at half its price. I'm not bothered by the stand size. Is the DyAc update in the K version much of a difference? Are there any other important differences to take into consideration?

Thanks!

Same boat as you. I was looking at the K, but the regular XL2546 is $30 off on Amazon. Wondering if it's really worth it.

the k model uses the latest TN gen panels rated for .3 to .5ms (obviously marketing numbers but definitely an improvement over previous generation as someone who switched from an AW2518hf 240hz panel to the 2546k 240hz panel. I'd say if you're going to drop that kinda money for a benq 240hz monitor in 2020 you might as well get the latest gen. if you want to get the latest TN panel and don't want to pay the benq tax try looking for the Acer Predator XN253Q which can be found much cheaper and features (the same i think? if not - just as fast) panel
