i have a xl2720z that i used on ps4 in single strobe at 60hz.
i also have the xl2411k for the ps5 for the 120hz option at 1080p. I can set up the ps5 no problems so it uses the 120hz. But the clarity is just not there. am i missing something? In my head the clarity should be better at 120hz strobing. I feel like i have read so much on here over the years i should know what to do/
xl2411k PS5 - 120hz clarity
Re: xl2411k PS5 - 120hz clarity
fps and hz must be equal for strobed clarity otherwise you get this.redbull2k wrote: ↑08 Aug 2021, 15:54i have a xl2720z that i used on ps4 in single strobe at 60hz.

unless your game is actually running at 120fps not 60fps you won't get much benefit at all from 120hz strobing. that's precisely why people are crying out for more 60hz single strobe monitors.

Re: xl2411k PS5 - 120hz clarity
Also, if you are getting strobe crosstalk at 120Hz with www.testufo.com then you will want to re-calibrate your XL2411K with Strobe Utility with a PC -- to least optimize the crosstalk to lowest possible before plugging your PS5 into it. So you can't get your 60Hz single-image with PS5.elexor wrote: ↑09 Aug 2021, 20:44fps and hz must be equal for strobed clarity otherwise you get this.redbull2k wrote: ↑08 Aug 2021, 15:54i have a xl2720z that i used on ps4 in single strobe at 60hz.

Also, XL2411K no longer has retro-friendly strobing (60 Hz) strobing unlike XL2411, XL2411T, and XL2411Z which does. I don't know why BenQ decided to remove 60 Hz single-strobing, however.
Other candidate monitor models with retro-friendly strobing support includes ViewSonic XG2431 and Eve Spectrum 4K144, both of which supports branded Strobe Utilities too (ViewSonic download, Eve Spectrum download), but they are optional downloads. They both have good out-of-box calibration for both 60Hz and 120Hz single-strobe.

Re: xl2411k PS5 - 120hz clarity
Thanks both. I bought this xl2411k to be used untill i get my hands on the eve spectrum 4k144, i play on cod cw so 120hz is enabled on the game and ps settings. I think my eyes prefer clarity as i can track better, crosstalk is what im seeing. so i will go back to my xl2720z and see how i feel. Will 60hz single strobe clarity do better for me than 120hz strobing.
when my xl24111k strobes at 120hz is this single strobing or double?
