BenQ xl2411z settings help

Post by kubadrd » 06 Jun 2014, 10:31

Hello,

I'm using standard mode because on FPS1/2 in CS:GO I can't set 120hz on several resolutions. I need your help to set up my monitor to work properly on fps1/2 with blur reduction enabled. My firmware version is v1. Is there any chance to set 120hz on FPS mode@16:9 1280x720?

Edit: Or could you please give me your settings when the blur reduction is turned on
Thanks for help

As far as I know, the monitor doesn't sync to 1280x720 at 120Hz without using GPU scaling. You can try using 1024x768 instead and change your FOV a bit, but it will be stretched. Better to upgrade your GPU if 1920x1080 is performing too slow in CS:GO. In fact, if your GPU is a bit slow to keep up at 120fps for CS:GO, just turn off your AA.... Non-AA will still look better than 1280x720 scaled.

Which settings? Strobe Utility settings? Resolution settings?

Ideal blur reduction mode is 1920x1080 120Hz with the large vertical total tweak (VT1350) found in the Blur Busters Strobe Utility. Although Strobe Utility doesn't work on V1 monitors (need to upgrade to V2 via one of the four possible methods: BENQ service center, DIY MSTAR ISP, DIY homebuilt ISP, and DIY hardware-free method via Linux), you can still try the VT1350 tweak for a slight reduction in strobe crosstalk during BR.

Hope this helps!
