SMPlayer sounds awesome, I'm going to have to give that a try now because I've never heard of being able to pull videos out and get them lag free before..

I just use SMPlayer (with mpv as backend.) I drag and drop videos (almost from any site imaginable) or Twitch streams into it, and they play perfectly smooth with "opengl-hq" as video output.

HTML player in firefox is now PERFECT.

*slow hand clap*. I can't believe it took so long to have it like this. It may have been as good as this for the last year or so, I just reminded myself of this thread, as I watch everything run at a perfectly fluid 30 fps or 60fps on youtube nowadays
