I am home now. I use 547.17 on Windows 10.Lucasre5 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 20:50This driver didn't work for me either, neither HDMI nor DP. With Asus I can normally do custom resolutions at 500hz.daviddave1 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 04:28No option to create a custom res in nivida ctrl panel is a nvidia driver issue. Try NVIDIA GPU Driver version: 546.33. I am not at home right now. I am not sure what driver I use atm.Lucasre5 wrote: ↑31 Oct 2024, 11:32I can't create custom resolution and the alt tab is a very long black screen. Don't you really know what it could be? I've already updated to the latest driver and I've also used older drivers, I still can't create custom resolutions, not even at 360hz, not with displayport too. Is switching from game screen to desktop instantaneous for you?daviddave1 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2024, 07:52
I also play on the 499hz mode cause I play on 1728x1080. I can't really help you with the alt tabbing issue unfortunately.
On the colors: make sure u use the right color profile. Rtings has one for example and make sure that u enable reference profile in the colorsection in the Nvidia ctrl panel. Also make sure u install the zowie driver in the panel properties in windows.
I play pubg also but like TGTLN i use extreme constrast settings for pubg. Def. Not realistic. Its about making the enemies pop as much possible. See the second part of
https://youtu.be/0wpokGq-KbM?si=kHIh9ceaWmM-k_uT
For Apex I use Itstimmys zowie settings for the most part.
Quake Live sometimes I play black and white except for the color green. ( enemies are green)
I also play with high contrast, using 83 here on the 2586x, I used 87 on the 2566k. It's not that the colors are bad, they have better depth than the 66k, but the gamut seems strange, it's difficult to explain, the 248fp in g sync mode is much more pleasing to my eyes, and I don't think it's better at spotting the enemies on zowie's monitor, I found equivalents. Strangely, I have the feeling that the 2586x is more responsive than the Asus, I don't know if it's due to the effect of the dyac, but I have this impression despite the reviews saying that there is a delay.
But 546.33 should work if not let me know. Make sure the monitor itself is on the 500hz edid not the 540hz.
I also reccomend to use display drive Uninstaller to get rid of your old nvidia drivers. Make sure after reinstall you also activate zowie drivers and rtings colorprofile and active it in the reference option of the nividia ctrl panel.
If you still cannot make a 1728x1080 499hz custom res 547.17 on Windows 10 ( win 11 should work also) in the nvidia ctrl panel try the following:
0. Make sure to check if you use the HDMI 2.1. cable from Zowie that came with the monitor. Not some random HDMI cable.
1. Go to monitor Menu. Display- Display Mode. Check if its on full
2. Go to monitor Menu. System- Other Settings- EDID settings. Make sure its on 500Hz
3. Go to monitor Menu. System- EcoMode should be off
4. Download Display Driver Uninstaller from https://www.guru3d.com/download/display ... -download/ for example and install it. Dont run it yet.
5. Go Windows Run: type in: msconfig. Enter. Go to Boot tab. Enable save boot for your OS. Restart PC. you will be in save mode.
6. Run Display Driver Uninstaller Choose GPU. Uninstall No reboot. When the driver is deleted run msconfig again. Enter. Go to Boot tab. Disable save boot for your OS. Restart PC. you will be in normal mode again.
7. Install 547.17 with the help of NVCleanstall https://www.techpowerup.com/download/te ... leanstall/
8. After install check if you can make the 1728x1080 499hz res in the NVIDIA ctrl Panel-Change Resolution-Customize tab. if it works in display properties monitor tab properties-driver install zowie drivers. In color mangement choose the Rtings profile. In NVIDIA ctrl Panel Adjust desktop color settings enable Override to Reference Mode.
