My last monitor purchase was a 240hz BenQ XL2540Z in early 2017. This will be my next one.Discorz wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 04:34480 Hz TN coming up!

IPS looks good, but I don't buy high refresh rate monitors for beautiful colors. That's what my secondary monitors are for. I just want a response time monster.

i hope they will make it so like,
IPS evolved into TN teritory regarding clarity,
maybe they will make this new TN panels entering IPS teritory regarding colors..
Re: 480 Hz monitors on the horizon?
I just hope nvidia doesn't tune every single monitor that comes out with this panel because it will lead to:
- high prices
- fewer and weird variable overdrive options
- limited ULMB range
- higher lag ULMB
- locked overdrive with ULMB
- no ULMB pulse phaze control
- no ULMB-SYNC
- no ULMB for amd cards
- no variable overdrive for amd cards (not sure)
...and who know what else
Variable overdrive is achievable without a dedicated gsync module. So not worth the money imo.

Yes, they will very likely use this TN panel. Although there are also rumors of 480Hz IPS coming out.daviddave1 wrote: ↑12 May 2022, 04:57OOOOH tn could mean Zowie will use it also. very good news. ty for sharing. PS i like the 24" better then 24,5' very nice.

Has there ever been TN panels with good viewing angles & color reproduction?Discorz wrote: ↑13 May 2022, 05:30Yes, they will very likely use this TN panel. Or are all TN panels cursed to suck in that respect?
