LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE

High Hz on OLED produce excellent strobeless motion blur reduction with fast GtG pixel response. It is easier to tell apart 60Hz vs 120Hz vs 240Hz on OLED than LCD, and more visible to mainstream. Includes WOLED and QD-OLED displays.

Great to know about how at 240hz, software BFI won’t be of any real benefit. Thanks Chief!

Have best of both worlds w/ LG monitor for comp & LG C1 w/ 120hz BFI for high fidelity single player. Only wish my 42 C2 had 120hz BFI.. Oh well, can’t win em all.. 🙂

Would 42 C2 benefit from software BFI at 120hz?
BFI is still important for 60 years of legacy 60fps 60Hz content (And any lower frame rates), but if you can get max Hz framerate, the benefits of strobeless blur reduction now outweigh BFI at 240fps+ on 240Hz+ OLEDs.
Hey Chief,

Do you mind sharing your monitor and color settings for the LG 240hz OLED? Just got mine yesterday.

Also, do you notice any difference between the displayport 1.4 and 1.4 (DSC) input options?

Mine is the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45" prototype, that I am testing for them. I use its default profiles at the moment.

I do recommend installing the software "Better Cleartype Tuner" -> Set to "Greyscale" to improve text appearance.

I'm running into a significant issue; full screen games get forced into 120hz. A solution was suggested here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comme ... &context=3

however when I delete TV resolutions the monitor just goes black and doesn't come back. I have to boot up in safe mode and run CRU's reset-all.

Edit: figured it out, just had to delete the one 4k resolution while leaving all others.

I tried this monitor and while it was amazing, I had some odd issues with what appeared to be light bleed in the bottom right corner and an occasional whirring that would start up. Also, in Forza Horizon 5, the yellow text would sometimes appear to have the chromatic aberration effect that Windows text would have.

Has there been any indication when the Blur Busters approved OLED is coming and who it might be coming from? I’m debating gambling again on the 27GR95QE, but am also considering getting an M27Q X and holding out for the BFI integrated monitor if that’s to release this year (I’m dying to know :D)

On this exact subject, I am also having issues with the headphone jack.. The headphones work, but the microphone is not connecting, stating I have to insert the usb cable, which I did already.. Any thoughts/ideas on how to fix? Is there a way to remove then redownload the drivers?

How's this monitor for a primary daily work productivity monitor? Recommend this or IPS?

Although I can't comment on the LG 27" -- I'm using my Corsair Xeneon Flex prototype as a productivity monitor.

Browsing, Visual Studio, office work. Dark mode, taskbar autohide, orbit on, 75% brightness. Currently it's the monitor that I chose to keep swapped onto my main desk, in my fleet of monitors. It's very easy on the eyes, albiet low DPI having 3440x1440 stretched to 45" But that's fine with me -- it makes it easy to get 240fps 240Hz in many games. You do have to adjust "Better ClearType Tuner" accordingly.

LG WOLED is durable enough to be used for office work nowadays. Even the new RTINGS OLED tests show that the WOLED panels seems to be indicating that they're turning out to be the most durable OLED panels on the market, being the only OLED panels that they're currently testing that hasn't shown any permanent burn-in yet.

The risk is there. Do best practices.

So if you do ANY office work on OLED, it's currently the LG WOLEDs that has the least worry.

Question about HDR. Having currently installed W10, for a better HDR experience should I install W11 ? I've heard it works best in HDR

What's the best settings for the CRU utility?

How do I know the profile is active? Where to check it?

How do I know it's running 10bit or 12bit? I can only see at nvidia panel.

Attached are the settings I'm using but I'm not sure games and window is using it.

Should one manually run either of the two cleaning options - pixel cleaning (1min) and image cleaning (10min)? And if so, how frequently?
