Does playing on the ASUS PG27AQN esport mode 25" (whether 1080p or 2368p) introduce any sort of latency?
to my thinking, there is a pixel shifting in that 25" mode, so it could have added latency?

Re: ULMB 2 Released
7600X is not the best for source 2 engine. 7800X3D is the right choice. 50 percent more fps. Even 5800X3D runs better in dota2 (and cs2) than 7600X. I have chosen 7600 for cs2 only as a budget choice with 3060Ti for 280HZ gameplay. 360 stable wont be achieavable with 7600/X too in cs2 same like its in dota2.Blurnabi wrote: ↑08 Jun 2023, 01:44Does DLSS3 framegen have ability to run vsynced for consistent frame delivery? I mean there are only handful of new games which can run consistent 360fps with top spec PC let alone 160fps therefore having ULMB2 with native 360Hz is kinda moot. I even have trouble running consistent 240Hz on my most played game Dota2 no matter what the settings I use with 4090 GPU and 7600x.
I feel like there are lots of avenues to explore with strobing and frame generation interoperability.

Re: ULMB 2 Released
Is a Nvidia card needed for ULMB2?
For some reason my 1st Gen 360Hz PG259QNR does not offer ULMB through the panel.. I mean it's there it's just not selectable. Is it cause of my AMD GPU?

Thank you!bumbeen wrote: ↑08 Jun 2023, 17:49yes. the strobing is solely a function of backlight sync with a fixed monitor refresh rate, there is no awareness of game FPS or other syncing functionKuscheln_Hammer92 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2023, 11:54Does ULMB 2 run with anything else on say RTss scanline sync or if you have fast sync on and framerate uncapped?
Re: ULMB 2 Released
I don't know, but in any case, ULMB2 is not supported on PG259QN/R . ULMB (not ULMB2) is supported on 240Hz (not 360Hz).BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑10 Jun 2023, 09:12Is a Nvidia card needed for ULMB2?

I hope they offer ULMB2 for my PG259QNR sometime in the future. I don't see why it wouldn't support it unless there are hardware limitations.
Thanks for the reply.
Re: ULMB 2 Released
Even if the monitor has g sync hardware, they won't update 240hz monitors to support ULMB2. They will try to push people to buy 360hz gsync monitors and they will say things like it has gsync module yes but that monitor is not 360hz.
Nvidia...its meant to be played on the latest and greatest 360hz $$$
They can charge extra for ULMB2 , who knows may be we will see this practice on ULMB3.

Re: ULMB 2 Released
Of course that's money/market strategy but something better will come along.
Re: ULMB 2 Released
I don't think the panels are fast enough for "ULMB 2" which is just ULMB but with an extra bit to speed up the bottom half of the screen more than the top half because the panel still isn't really fast enough for it. Plenty of crosstalk on the bottom 1/3rd which would be way worse and cover more of the display on any older panelsShing0 wrote: ↑11 Jun 2023, 11:47Even if the monitor has g sync hardware, they won't update 240hz monitors to support ULMB2. Re: ULMB 2 Released
Just wanted to add to this thread for anyone on a Radeon gpu the option to enable ULMB 2 on my PG27AQN is completely grayed out. Tried it on an Nvidia gpu and that had no issues. I’m trying to figure out a solution for this at the moment… Haven’t had any luck yet but we continue to test!
