Most people are coming from 24.5 inch panels, why make a 24.1 inch, you will get used to it, but really annoying when manufacturers have weird diagonals

Do you remember maybe, which bitrate and khz you've been using with the AE-9 (default is 24bit 192khz in Direct Mode)?
And is the "Direct Mode" faster than the none direct mode in terms of latency?

thank you!
24-bit 48khz (higher has no benefits imo)
Direct mode was a lot faster than non-direct. But still 5ms slower than onboard mobo audio.
Granted I was using an ALC1220 audio chip motherboard (Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro) at that time, which is a I2S / I2C device. The newest mobo audio chips on expensive boards (ALC4080) is USB interface so it could be significantly slower than ALC1220, and therefore also slower than add-on audio cards.

I called Asus store front and tech support, it's unlikely to be released before the tail-end of the year if not next year. I also asked if it would support ULMB2 (I assume it would given it's newer than the PG27AQN but they had no idea what that even was). I ended up pulling the trigger on the Zowie XL2566K - I hate it. It's great for performance for comp ranked FPS (my exact need to a second monitor) but it's unbelievably ugly being an E-TN panel. I also think 24.5" 1080p is a bit too small/low res for clarity and visibility, even Shroud said that 27" 1440p is ideal for the above. I'm coming from a 42" Asus PG42UQ 4k138hz OLED monitor as my main daily driver (I use the aspect ratio feature to downscale to 27" 16:9 for comp FPS ranked), so it's just impossible to get used to a TN panel at this point. The new eSports industry standard will surely be 27" 1440p360hz+ OLED w/ULMB2 in a year or two, most games can run well past that FPS target including CoD MW2.

Told u this stupid monitor isn't coming out in a while and I bet the xl2566k is still better. Benq is king. Just get the benq each time it releases, fuck all these other 500hz and shit and ulmb and shit. They either always too late or never deliver. USELESS IDIOTS

Thanks so much for the clip - great find on your part (there's also a second monitor coming with ULMB2 alongside the P248QP - the ! I'm definitely returning this piece of crap Zowie XL2566Q by Tuesday - it's within my 15-day return window and I can't stand using it for comp ranked FPS gaming anymore after being spoiled by a decent W-OLED. TN panels looks like utter garbage and cause eyestrain after longer sessions, and I'm using the correct pro setting/profiles for each FPS game respectively - the clarity and lack of motion blur is fantastic with DyAc+, but as many content creators and actual top 0.1-3% ranked players have said (i.e. the most valuable anecdotal evidence you can gather on the subject) - they prefer either the PG27AQDM 240hz OLED and/or the PG27AQN 360hz IPS w/ULMB2 over various forums, subreddits and Discord servers. CSGO might be the only notable exception what where pro re are split between the two.

Although faster pixel response time and excellent vibrancy/contrast from OLED + ULMB2 on the IPS panel are likely the main reasons as to their success, otherr spectively, I suspect it's also due to higher pixel density from 1440p on a marginally larger screen. Shroud verbally says as much here, plus it's so easy to drive all the comp FPS games to 360fps+ consistently including more resource intensive/poorly optimized games like MW2/Halo Infinite with decent hardware.

BenQ got dethroned/rendered obsolete at this point, just accept it. There's no going back to TN panels after just a few hours of experiencing W-OLED @240hz (yet alone presumably flat QD-OLED/microLED in the future). I use a 42" 4k138hz OLED (PG42UQ) for work/productivity pretty much all day and media consumption + single HDR gaming when I can, but I find it excruciating to go back to the XL2566K for comp ranked FPS due to how awful the image quality is plus the eyestrain. As of this moment though the PG27AQN w/ULMB2 is just better than the XL2566K head to head if you adjust the OSD to match the size (25 vs 24.5 " - I'm not sure if that adds latency though).

I do fully agree with your sentiment regarding Asus for the past year in my own experience and pretty much half the internet, I could go on about their utter incompetence with rushing out unfinished flagship products with glaring issues that takes then 8+ months to address via firmware updates. They'll be releasing their new extra OC'D Matrix 4090 w/360mm AIO before the 540hz ULMB2 panel that's for sure, probably around October with the i9-14900K. I didn't proofread any of that so I apologize for typos!

Looks like a new FAQ on the Asus support page was created for this monitor. Probably a good sign it's going to be released soon since they talk about Windows updates that are coming in Q4.

https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1051119
Q: My PG248QP is limited to 500Hz, why can’t it go up to 540Hz?
A:
Please be noted that the current Windows OS does not support 500Hz above, you will need to install the upcoming Win 11 patches from Microsoft. The next OS upgrade is expected to be released in Q4, 2023.

For future upgrade to unlock 540Hz, you will need to check several items listed as below
1. GPU: It requires Turing-based GeForce gaming GPUs.
2. OS: Please check your OS version and see if it is compatible with 540Hz
3. Monitor:
1. please check OSD->Gaming->Overclocking is turned on.
2. Please check OSD->System Setup->DSC is turned on.

NachoCustomz posted a picture on Twitter of the custom paint job he did for the 540Hz he received.
