my opinion on the pg248qp, Asus undoubtedly offers better image clarity but it is not perfect, it really lacks an option to adjust the sharpness, the screen coating seems of average quality, it is quite visible to distinguish lots of small shiny spots which makes the image muddled (eTN technology defect or asus coating?), the ulmb 2.0 is more of a marketing gimmick and causes more image problems, personally I I found the overall use disappointing compared to aw2524hf, I do not recommend it and I expect better from this panel which will equip the next Acer XV242F and Zowie XL2586X

Weird, I found ULMB to be superb and honestly the non-ULMB mode to be lackluster by comparison. You can easily see this playing something like OW2.

Also most places regard the Aw2524hf as awful as it's essentially a IPS panel that was originally meshed with 360hz that was slapped with 500hz.

we all agree that currently IPS technology has reached its limits in terms of clarity at high speed, however at low and medium speed the rendering is excellent

this new e-tn panel is incredible, after calibration the colors are superb (thank you tftcentral for excellent icc profile), however all its qualities are diminished by this shiny parasitic veil which makes its image less sharp and messy, to have the 2 monitors I clearly prefer the precision of the aw2524hf which does not suffer from this parasitic coating on the screen and and has an excellent sharpness option

I really hope that this major defect is not caused by liquid crystal pixel technology

From the downloadpage of tftcentral also the following info:
Preset mode: Racing
Notes incl. Gamma: Gamma 2.4. Gamut wide
Brightness: 20
Contrast: 50
R:100
G:100
B: 98

( I changed the settings to gamma 2.2 and played with the colors some more. But its a good start.)

If im unable to hit 540fps on some game titles, should i still keep my PG248QP monitor refresh rate at 540hz? or lower it to around the same FPS im getting?

how do i eliminate tearing while still not adding extra latency?

Leave it on 540hz and/or turn on G-Sync. If you want to use ULMB, the lowest refresh rate you can go to is 360Hz when it's activated.

Just keep it at 540 with ulmb2 on. It's kinda a myth that a image will tear of the rails if hz and fps does not match. ( Also in a ASUS USA stream Asus Usa also mentioned that the GSYNC module in this monitor also works to a degree withouth GSYNC enabled to keep the frames in sync. I can link the yt stream later if u like)
Same goes with ulmb2 . Ulmb2 still kicks in even if the hz don't match with the fps. Maybe not 100% optimal. But it's definitely there. You dont wanna miss out on the insane low inputlag this monitor provides.

I would run it at 500 hz in W10, extra 40 Hz is not worth the disadvantages of W11 in my opinion. I wonder if Microsoft considers fixing it for W10 when these monitors get more popular.

It does offer 500 Hz.
540 Hz, 500 Hz, 480 Hz, 240 Hz, 120 Hz, 60 Hz are options in NVCP.
