Some of you have noticed that we have been wanting to spool-up the coverpage of Blur Busters again, after pandemic-influenced scalebacks to the media side of Blur Busters (focussed on consulting services instead).

So yeah, I chose this as the 2023 debut article.

Originally, I planned to debut something else (240Hz OLED stuff). However, I made an exception, due to the importance of NVIDIA strobe backlight technologies in Blur Busters fame over a decade ago (...the famous old LightBoost HOWTO, for you longtime readers...)

Would this come to existing monitors as well like my AW2521H :(

Was my plan to upgrade to 1440p anyway... but still.

Ok now I am tempted to swap my XL2566K for a PG27AQN.

Also, if anyone has this monitor, would you mind posting some new UFO tests?

Very nice post, Chief

Thank you for pointing out the power of this forum users. It's surely what corporate folk might've been missing or underestimating.

The whole post is great.
It's what we were all screaming here for, since years. "Give us the option in hidden menu if you're worried about users not being able to use it properly", "Give us all the refresh rates", etc.

And the part about existence of us, people who absolutely hate motion blur even at 60Hz and would rather play with frequent pauses to give the eyes some rest from flicker and the time to recover, than play with the motion completely ruined.

Fingers crossed for the positive response from Nvidia and other companies.
It's about time the motion quality in gaming got some wider attention in the industry.

Nvidia claims they have achieved 1ms/1000hz motion clarity. I didn't think it would come so soon. I hope someone is able to do a test on these monitors to see if there are any crosstalks and ghosting. Still sticking with the XG2431 since it is currently the only (good) monitor with 60hz BFI.

He says he doesn't really feel a difference between OLED and ULMB 2. From my understanding then he keeps maining the OLED 240hz. I am keeping my XL2566K until the next OLED generation or maybe the new ASUS PG248QP - 25" 1080p 540 Hz TN ULMB 2.

Didn't read anything on it yet but my question is relatively how much input lag is added on top of any of these models that are available or coming out with ULMB2?
