I know it's not anything new but it's still very exciting for me. 240hz with G-Sync is god like

Techradar - Asus ROG Swift PG258Q "review"
Re: Techradar - Asus ROG Swift PG258Q "review"
"Expected to land before March 2017"
at other side we have AOC with same panel model in 2016 and it will be much cheaper because no g-sync.

Re: Techradar - Asus ROG Swift PG258Q "review"
Tbh even though I have an nvidia card I would totally grab the aoc if the input lag is virtually zero and overdrive is working decently. The first time I tried out 120hz I was amazed by it. It will probably be the same thing as going to 240hz. Even though 99% of the internet seems to disagree on that opinion. But the 2016 statement will probably be December or something and I suspect a paper launch considering the panel is brand new.

another review including useless input lag test
http://ithardware.pl/testyirecenzje/tes ... -1829.html
but we know now it can only 120Hz at ULMB

Good review with UFO test
https://hdtvpolska.com/asus-pg258q-test ... la-graczy/
Good (250 nits) brightness with ULMB, but only up to 144Hz. No 60Hz ULMB.
Some overshoot at the higher refresh with middle OD
They measured 16ms input lag with Leo Bodnar@1080p60
Tftcentral will also have review within 1-2 weeks

Thanks for posting this!
<GEEK STUFF>
These motion blur photographs are pursuit camera photographs, the most accurate way of taking photographs of display motion blur.
They use the Blur Busters pursuit camera technique that I invented, and is found in a peer-reviewed paper/presentation (check out the Blur Busters logo on ResearchGate!) that I co-authored (Mark Rejhon) with NOKIA and NIST.gov. HDTV.pl's setup is pictured here.

It's actually surprising to see 144Hz have less strobe crosstalk than 100Hz. I guess they don't extend the length of the blanking intervals optimally at lower refresh rates -- done properly, the lower refresh rates should have had less strobe crosstalk.

Why would anyone buy this over the BenQ XL2540?

If i were to guess based off my previous Benq G-Sync experience.Vantavia wrote:Why would anyone buy this over the BenQ XL2540?
*Better Colour
*Better Overdrive
*G-Sync
But really it's to hard to tell without the same site reviewing them both. Benq might of knocked it out of the park for this one. Benq might also have better BBR due to the timing tweaks you can do on Benq scalers.
