So when's the next possible date for them to announce Volta cards?

There are plenty of HDR games out now on PC that work just fine, which is the major thing that matters. I agree Windows 10 HDR support on the desktop is spotty and needs improvement though.

I'm totally buying a desktop Volta on Day 1, with HBM2 memory hopefully, I've been using a Maxwell (970) since 2014 so I'm itching to upgrade. Not sure if I'll get the 1170 or the 1180 version (or whatever it is they'll be called).

Mark, if you catch a glimpse of the Vive 2 let us know how it looks! Things like weight, balance on the head, etc.

Since the GH5S is official now, if you are able to do so, do you mind checking out Panasonic and asking what project frame rates it has? Also, I'd appreciate any info you could get on potential future firmware features for the standard GH5, my current camera. I've suggested to Panasonic the addition of 100fps, 119.88fps, and 120fps as project frame rates, and they've said my ideas have been forwarded to the engineering department.

Thanks! The Nvidia powered 65" TV sure sounds like fun and is something I'd eventually get however it's the 25/27" screens at 240hz (and above) that I'm curious about!

1440 27-inch 600-nits semi-HDR TN 240hz monitors are supposed to be in production quarter 2, but neither these monitors nor the what should be imminently arriving 4k 144hz full HDR and 1440 ultrawide 200hz full HDR monitors appear to be on display. As a computer gamer, what the hell is this event about on our side? Nvidia offered nothing, and apparently Acer and Asus are offering new prebuilt computers with Pascal cards (shame on all of them if Volta will arrive in March-May). I'll pass on the extremely expensive TV.

By the way, any substance at all about this Nvidia Ampere rumor? I do know, more reliably, that there is a big order for GDDR6 memory for graphics cards in early 2018, which has to be the next generation of Nvidia cards.

So what's the effect of pixels per inch in the case of the 65-inch monitor versus the 27-inch monitor? Would you say that the 65-inch monitor is akin to say a 27-inch 1080 monitor and 4k at 27 inches should be glory or am I misunderstanding?
