Closest potential 1440p 240hz monitor release dates?

Previously I thought 1080p was enough for 27"... but after recently trying the acer xg270HUA (75hz 1440p) I realised that...
while 1080p is enough if you're strictly using your monitor for competitive gaming, but in any other case... 1440p is an amazing step up visual quality wise.

However, after trying the XL2740 (1080p 240hz) I cannot happily settle for a 144hz screen.
The extra smoothness, responsiveness and drastically reduced motion blur during sample-and-hold operation which 240hz provides is just too good...
(I know I could use strobing to reduce motion blur on a 144hz 1440p monitor like the XL2735, but I don't want to use strobing...)

SO, with that out of the way... manufacturing of 1440p 240hz panels has been theoretically started by AU Optronics in July 2018.
Yet there hasn't been any announcements made by any manufacturers about upcoming monitors featuring said panels.
Based on the past, when can we expect monitors with the new panels to hit the market?

For example, does anyone know how much time has passed between AUO starting to manufacture their first 1080p 240hz panels and manufacturers releasing their first monitors with them?

Lets hope that they will use these newer TN panels with 0.5 response time. It might actually be a decent improvement versus all other TN panels (an "old" tech) that have been on the market for all these years. In any case, i am also interested and i am still using my PG258Q, but at this point in time i would also need at least 1440p/27"/240Hz/G-SYNC with these newer TN panels to make a change :)

Yes, I'm talking about those panels, let me quote tftcentral:

"High refresh rate 240Hz TN Film panels for pro gaming with higher resolutions

AU Optronics already develop several TN Film gaming panels with a native 240Hz refresh rate, available in 24.5" and 27" sizes and used in various monitors already. These panels have been limited so far to 1920 x 1080 resolution at 240Hz, but AUO now have plans to extend that in the future. Of most interest is a planned new 27" TN Film panel with the same 240Hz refresh rate, but with a QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution. This panel is expected to go in to production in July 2018 and will also offer a 3ms response time (ISO figure without overdrive, down from the typical 5ms limit for TN Film), 400 cd/m2 brightness and even an extended gamut offering 90% DCI-P3 coverage. That 3ms response time spec is AUO pushing the overall responsiveness of the panel, and they rate that as being able to offer <1ms G2G response times with overdrive used, and in fact their target is achieving 0.5ms.

Updates to the already available 24.5" and 27" panels are also planned, pushing the response time performance a little bit and offering the new 3ms ISO response time spec. Those panels are sticking with largely the same spec as before including the FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness and sRGB gamut. The 24.5" update is planed for August 2018 production, while the 27" update is planned for Q4 2018 some time."

I pray BenQ releases a 0.5ms 1080p 27". The XL2740 seems so wonderful but with the prospect of this tech looming I want to wait.

Will these improvements really make much of any difference?

I would also like to know if and when those monitors come to market. I just don't want to use 1080p anymore with a triple 1440p setup as the mix of 1440p 1080p 1440p wouldn't be too great for me. I mean, maybe it's a bit of a niche as most pro players want to use 1080p to get the most FPS possible, but I think you should be good with a recent GPU and 1440p 240Hz. Titles like Overwatch are no problem with a 1080 to get over 240 FPS at low settings.

Please, could you sit in a way so that take up less space? This boat is small y'know.

We can only suppose.
Historically speaking, I hope some models on new "0,5ms" panels will be announced at CES 2019 (January 2019). At least I expect 1440p 240hz to be announced as flagship of the new panels generation, with the 1080p 240hz following it.
Market availability then should be around 2H 2019.
