2019 LG OLED TV's - 4K/120 Hz HDMI 2.1 with 120 Hz BFI

High Hz on OLED produce excellent strobeless motion blur reduction with fast GtG pixel response. It is easier to tell apart 60Hz vs 120Hz vs 240Hz on OLED than LCD, and more visible to mainstream. Includes WOLED and QD-OLED displays.

I bought one already in anticipation but I must warn y'all, they have some pretty strong warnings about burn-in on these things. Not sure if it's safe to use it as a monitor. I'd be very interested to get feedback from anyone who has used one as a monitor for any length of time so far.

I've used OLED as monitors for years with zero problems. I currently have a C8. Just don't be stupid and play CNN for 8 hours per day at max brightness and you will be fine.

So i have one of these C9's

Vincent from hdtvtest read the EDID and showed the VRR range at 40-120hz

The problem is there is nothing to plug into the TV yet.

Would be nice if someone could hack the EDID with CRU so we could get other forms of VRR like freesync working.

Could this even be done? I'm not very experienced with VRR
