While I do agree with you, they did so in the past with the XL2730/35 (144hz 1440p with BBR aka DyAc), so it's not completely out of the question.

I'm one of those who prefer Benq over every other brand when it comes to gaming monitors...
even after trying high refresh rate offerings from Dell/Alienware, Acer, LG and Asus.

They just seem to nail input lag and overdrive tuning the best, the most consistently.
(By best OD tuning, I mean not the prettiest, but the most helpful for eliminating motion blur, even in sample-and-hold operation.)

Also, their features are the most well-executed... for example, Black EQ equivalents on other brands' monitors often miss the mark, when it comes to eliminating shadows, while preserving contrast, with minimal visual artifacting (thinking about you, AW2518Hf)... or managing to do it, but with too few steps (...AW2518H).

The S-Switch also became essential for me, because of the 3 profiles you can set up, and switch between on the fly.
Can't comfortably live without such a feature anymore.
Ah, yes! I totally forgot that they actually had a 1440p option once in their offer, although now it seems like they draw back from offering any other monitor like that, which might be due to the reason I mentioned, guess 1440p variant wasn't popular as well.

As for Zowie monitors (and TN panels), I have mixed feelings in general. XL2546K is probably the last chance for Zowie to win me, I'm still waiting for the release in my region, should be arriving next week finally, but due to my preferences, 280 Hz IPS will probably be the winner for me. We shall see!

When I contacted BenQ on Facebook to ask about the release of XL2546K again, I did let them know that I'd share my opinions about it on Blur Busters forums and that enthusiasts await their above-240-Hz offering. The person who was talking to me knew about Blur Busters and was actually excited to hear that :D The fame is real, I guess! They also mentioned they had quite a lot questions about XL2546K's availability and that delays in my region are caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

I wouldn't bother with international purchases and returns, and in case I decide to keep the monitor, I want to support the home market (a specific favourite store to be exact). I definitely don't want to give my money to Amazon. Anyway, XL2546K will be available in my country very soon, like I mentioned.

Does the resolution change happen instantly or is it black for 1-3 seconds?

My 144hz TN changes resolution instantly.

Most blankouts are caused by things like VRR being turned on/off and such, or if a resolution / refresh rate changes (e.g. 144Hz to 60Hz, etc). Much of this cam be avoided by configuring Windows and game to the same settings.

Older 144Hz monitors did not have VRR so the addition of VRR adds blackout unless you keep Windows VRR=OFF *and* Fullscreen VRR=OFF. Or both ON.

If you use G-SYNC only for fullscreen apps (not windowed), you will almost always have the blackout.

The cause of blackout is usually fixable via tweaking your settings.

Worse comes to worse, the 1920x1079 trick works too (custom resolution with only one refresh rate configured, to prevent refresh rate changes).

Does anybody know if Benq/Zowie is planning to release a gaming 360 hz monitor, maybe with a fast IPS panel, in the near future?

They should release 360Hz, is a competitive advantage, -33.3% betwhen frames latency Vs 240Hz
