What's the chances of BenQ making 360hz work with DyAc+?

Do we know if 360hz TN panels are being made or should we only expect similar performing IPS 360hz monitors like the Asus in the foreseeable future?

I guess they didn't even enable DyAc+ on XL2546. If they did, which monitor has the best motion clarity would be much obvious.

Edit: They didn't enable DyAc+. If DyAc+ is enabled, whatever the camera they used should've captured it flickering.

Linus Tech Tips' review is out, check the updated main post!
Thanks ;)

Monitor model is PG259QN, but during all review, they name it PG259Q, causing confusion in readers. Nobody at LTT has notice it ?

When players try to guess which of four monitors have 360Hz, i consider it a comedy, a sham. All participants, supposedly know good gaming monitors, and than they are participating in a review of the first 360Hz monitor, know that the only one 360Hz monitor ready for reviews today is this ASUS 25" IPS, and than IPS have much better viewing angles. But misteriously, some of they choice TN, and 27" as the 360Hz monitor

Image

Is very fun also see how the FPS Test Setup include a wireless mouse, that is well know that add a bit of input lag

Like always, uploading video of motion reviews at 30FPS

Seeing how they missinformed readers whit PS5 SSD, i was not expecting much seriousness in this review.

Even taking into account bad pursuit setup, seems than response time is far to fit inside 2.77ms But they not said what Overdrive setting is selected :!: What if it was off or at minimum ? From LTT nothing would surprise me

About Nvidia ULMB. I not know if is Nvidia or ASUS the responsible of lock it only at 144 and 240Hz, but made it useless for people that want fit ULMB frequency with source FPS. There are tons of old and new content locked at 60FPS, games and video. Also old 3D games than can't run over 100FPS, engine limit. High Frame Rate Video run at 120FPS with NTSC, 100 with PAL.

With HDR On, dark zones becomes more dark, but at cost of lose the contrast, not worth it. Only 400nits, and far from pure blacks, HDR in this conditions is a joke, but HDR sticker is here. Slaves of marketing i guess.

The LTT review was painful to watch.
Are these guys blind or something?

Only one guy seemed to understand the effect of higher refresh rates. The dude who mentioned the number of objects in the trail when moving the mouse.

You're wrong and what you said is an absolute lie and already debunked myth. The mouse they use in this video is Logitech G PRO Wireless (Ghost version) and it currently is the most popular wireless mouse on professional CS:GO e-sport scene. Even the CS:GO super-star Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev uses this mouse, he's considered the world's best CS:GO player. More than 70 other CS:GO professionals also use Logitech G PRO Wireless. There is absolutely no lag in Logitech G PRO Wireless, as well as there is absolutely no lag in Razer Viper Ultimate nor in Logitech G703 (another two amazing wireless mice, also used by professionals). Do you really think that all these top players who compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars during world's most prestige tournaments would use a mouse that has any extra latency? They wouldn't. I own Logitech G PRO Wireless, Razer Viper Ultimate and Logitech G703, and all of these mice are exceptional pieces of hardware with perfect wireless connections and no added latency, so please don't spread myths and do more research on this matter.

I own an Omen X 25F and an Asus VG259QM amongst many others (Omen X 27 is another stellar one I have) and can say with 100% certainty that I can not see, identify, or tell the difference on UFO test between the IPS and UFO between the two. Its so freaking close.

Hey Alpha, I was about to pull the trigger on the Omen 25f but after reading your comment I'm back at my indecisiveness. Could you please help me out since you have personal experience with both monitors that I was keeping an eye on?
I'm looking to buy my first 240hz monitor and I keep seeing mixed opinions on whether TN panel is still superior in terms of "speed" over an IPS panel.
I was about to choose the HP Omen to go safe because my primary goal is motion clarity and low input lag, color accuracy is second priority and viewing angles don't matter that much to me. But because I keep seeing people's comments saying that they can't notice the difference between this HP monitor (which is one of the fastest TN panels) and the popular fast IPS monitors (vg259qm, mag251rx, aw2521hf) I thought that I might as well go with IPS if it has the same speed of a TN panel but with good color accuracy.

No dog in the TN vs IPS fight. I've said it before in front of the X 25F I can not tell this is a TN panel per say. This display is amazing.

Now you're even making it harder for me because I also see a lot of comments saying that the HP 25f has very good colors for a TN panel. How do they compare to the colors of the vg259qm?

IMHO this PG259QN has been rushed out :

- no 360hz strobing
- Panel response time doesn't look faster than current 240-280 IPS
- most 240hz panel have better ufo test motion reduction from what we see.

it is a rushed out monitor just to claim world first and They totally missed the target audience.

wait 1 or 2 years for a version with a gsync module capable to do ULMB at 360hz and with a faster panel (TN or whatever)

Seems there still being a small difference:

https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/comp ... eshold=0.1

Logitech G Pro and Razer Viper Ultimate, click latecy test, wired and wireless.

Logitech wired 9ms wireless 10ms
Razer wired 7ms wireless 9ms.

Is Rtings review wrong ?

One Pro Player can win bucks in one tournament, but also promoting a mouse model ;) Which of two task fills pocket more ? :D

Form a physics point of view, electricity over wire is more fast than RF signal out of vacuum conditions, and also is needed to add emissor (Electric->RF) and receptor (RF->Electric) conversions. Sure the current gap is very small, and in constantly improvement, but i think this law can't be breaked to absolutely equal performance.

Anyway, i'm sure than remove wire annoyances, worth it for most players, even if there were still being a bit of residual lag.

Anyway, from what they present in this "review", amount of blur is unacceptable. What we want is extremely clear motion with no trails, isn't it? If this monitor turns out to have worse motion handling than 240 Hz equivalents, then I'd say it's pointless. Also, I wouldn't call this video a review, as it has no response times and input lag measurements, so I'm looking forward to seeing some real tests.

By the way, gotta tell you that after playing CS:GO on Zowie XL2546 for several days and then switching back to MAG251RX, I'd swear I definitely could tell a difference in motion clarity, the MSI one looked way more blurry comparing to XL2546 (both on the fastest overdrive setting, no strobing used in comparison). I never thought I'd say that, but I'm starting to like TN, but I still have to do a comparison to VG259QM. I'm also curious what Zowie is going to show up in September.
inversion artifacts definitely affect motion clarity (on "fastest" on the mag251rx), it could be that
