XL2546K Freesync Premium activation?

Talk about AMD's FreeSync and VESA AdaptiveSync, which are variable refresh rate technologies. They also eliminate stutters, and eliminate tearing. List of FreeSync Monitors.

XL2546K Freesync Premium activation?

Post by hELL1337 » 29 May 2022, 10:08

Hey guys,

iam losing my mind right now, i searched everywhere but no-one seems to have the same prob like me.

I have a 3 Monitor setup, all with DP at my graka.

in the middle is the xl2546k.
Normally i only play fast paste shooter so i activated dyAc+ from the getgo.

But for Star Citizen i figured is a variable refreshrate not bad? (Will it make the picture smoother when i activate freesync on monitor and in Nvidia settings the G-sync compatibility??

So, iam on Windows nothing really open just plain desktop, switching monitor from DyAc+ Premium to off. everything fine
then i activate FreeSync Premium, all monitors go black, num led is not responding, seems like PC is frozen. then i have to shut it down with powerbutton, but when i not change freesync to off before pc is bootet, i get no picture or a somewhat broken picture,.. no mouse or keyboard input possible.

so any1 have a idea?

1. Switch DyAc+ off

2. (If necessary) Switch any VRR-preventing features off (such as HDR or non-VRR profiles).

3. Switch VRR on in monitor OSD before using NVCP. It may be labelled “VRR”, “FreeSync”, “VESA Adaptive Sync”. This must be switched on first in monitor menus for all VRR monitors that aren’t native G-SYNC. Sometimes it’s in the service menu instead of certain BenQs, so check all unexpected menus until you find the setting. It won’t work until you find the setting.

4. Finally switch VRR on (“G-SYNC”) in NVCP
