CHG70 - Overdrive, ghosting and Freesync

Talk about AMD's FreeSync and VESA AdaptiveSync, which are variable refresh rate technologies. They also eliminate stutters, and eliminate tearing. List of FreeSync Monitors.

VA panels often has pretty ghosty colors in dark shades, which can be quite noticeable for many. This seems average, possibly above average, for a VA panel, actually -- Samsung does it well -- I've seen way worse. Although a non-pursuit-photograph, I'm able to deduce the amount of ghosting from those.
Howdy, Chief! I'm looking to replace my triple CHG70 monitor setup with Samsung's latest Neo Odyssey G8. Any idea if the new G8/G9 has strobing like the CHG70? All the specs in the world don't matter to my eyes unless it has blur reduction :)

The G9 definitely does not have display motion blur reduction.
I haven't paid attention to the Neo G8 lately, but I don't think so.

It's too bad really since Samsung's strobed VA implementation was one of the better VA-based ones, as VA-based strobe backlights are very meh. Never have seen a zero-crosstalk VA strobe backlight, whereas it is possible with TN and FastIPS (such as Oculus Quest 2 and the Blur Busters Approved ViewSonic XG2431 strobing)

I just ordered the latest G8 too :| I may end up sending it back lol. I love the strobing on my CHG70's. I've been looking to upgrade for awhile but 32" 4K monitors with strobing appear to be nonexistent :x

Perhaps the LG 42" 4K 120Hz G-SYNC OLED with BFI mode?

Going down to 27" (4K 144 LCD) and going up to 42" (4K 120 OLED) gives you some superior 4K strobing options.

Fantastic that the G8 has a feature that G9 does not have!
That's a relief.
