AG251FZ with freesync/G-sync

Talk about AMD's FreeSync and VESA AdaptiveSync, which are variable refresh rate technologies. They also eliminate stutters, and eliminate tearing. List of FreeSync Monitors.

AG251FZ with freesync/G-sync

Post by fenderjaguar » 19 Apr 2019, 09:04

I read the news about nvidia offering VRR with their drivers

https://www.blurbusters.com/nvidia-gefo ... c-monitor/

I use the AG251FZ with 750ti over display port 1.2

But I don't see any "Enable G-SYNC" option in nvidia control panel?

Does this feature only work on the latest GTX 2XXX GPUs or something?

It only works with 1000 and 2000-series GPUs. 900 and 700 (like your 750 Ti) do not work since (according to NVidia) they don't have displayport 1.2a support. They only support 1.2.

Ah right, that makes sense, 'cos 1.2a supported adaptive sync. Thanks.

Don't really need any sync at 240hz, but would have been interested in seeing free-sync and seeing how it compared with g-sync
