VG279Q

Post by lucaspfl » 15 Sep 2020, 09:34

I Bought this Monitor freesync IPS 144hz and extreme low motion blur only works in 120hz
on the UFO test I only see a big difference with 120hz extreme low motion blur on,
but my old Benq XL2411P run motion blur reduction with 144hz

Is better I give back this monitor and wait a Benq monitor cheaper?

I don't know what to do to have a good motion blur reduction with freesync 144hz or ELMB 120hz, I want to use the 144hz and have a extreme low motion blur :?

Motion Blur Reduction only work 120hz or lower?

ELMB only works with up to 120Hz on this monitor. This is very common with IPS panels of that generation. My IPS display is 165Hz, but ULMB only works up to 120Hz as well. Which is fine for me. There's not much difference between 120 and 144.

So, in a TN monitor all motion blur reduction technologies works fine 144, 165+ ? I don't care much about the better colors

There's also IPS monitors now that do higher than 120Hz MBR. But VG279Q isn't one of them.
