I found myself 1920 pixels per seconds is better value for 240hz monitors in default (not strobed) mode.

Yep, 1920 is mentioned in the article too!

It's an advantage that 960 multiples to 1920 (double) and 3840 (quadruple) -- the 1920 value is the nearest number to 2000 that is divisible by many refresh rate numbers such as 60, 120, 240, and 480.

1920 pixels/sec is one screen width per second on 1080p, and one screen width in 2 seconds on 4K displays.
