Stutters

Post by JackTheRipper » 04 Apr 2023, 09:47

unable to sync, constant stutters. tried everything, powerful rig 13900k 4090 32gb of ddr5r ram ssd 990 pro samsung
239,96 hz monitor coupled with 120 hz one, tried everything. setting both of them to 120, one by one, the only somewhat rgb software i have is msi center which is needed for coreliquid cpu cooling :/ rest is basic drivers discord steam chrome
Any Idea how to find what is causing this.
Also after exactly 30 minutes on 240hz it shows up unable to sync red screen

I managed to drastically reduce, amount of stutters by disabling msi service in msconfig.

However i still have stutter when i initially open a ufo test, it will keep popping them on and off for 2 mins or so, then it will be green ready perfect for ~30 +- cant tell, the test will start showing constant stutters (yellow) and then show out of sync red notification. What can be causing this?

I tried disabling all non ms services (didnt help) in msconfig

Stutters in TestUFO is almost always caused by background software.

A single stutter every 30 seconds at 240Hz is not really a problem at all -- you're good. Pretty much impossible to avoid, unless you realtime the foreground software (e.g. HIGH PRIORITY or REALTIME priority). Which generally isn't recommended except for sync-critical tests or things like frame-sequential shutter-glasses synchronization. It's only a problem if you have continuous stutters every second or so.
