Post by redbull2k » 12 Jan 2016, 10:21

Will the UFO test ever be compatible with PS4 Browser? i would like to see how my monitor (benq xl2720z) performs on my ps4, it reports unsupported browser.

It performs the same as with a PC running at 60Hz.

Monitors do not perform differently according to what you connect them to.

For tests that are reporting stats or need exact frame timing, yes. For ghosting and such, no, since you use your eyes for those :-)

Should testufo be performed on single strobe or double? It just does not look right and im looking at it with single strobe. I am not sure if the problem is what i think it should look like, to what I am getting. Maybe one of you guys could look on your PS4.

You perform them how ever you want to perform them. Or preferably perform them how you will be using the monitor.

Unsupported browsers are done by useragent detection.
Supported browsers are listed at: http://www.testufo.com/browser.html

Your PS4 browser may actually be supported (but at 60Hz). As long as it is 100% stutter-free and runs properly at the refresh rate you want to test it, then it can be usable. Please test http://www.testufo.com/photo -- does it run 100% perfectly smoothly without stutters?

If you have PS4, please go to http://www.testufo.com/browser.html and copy-paste the info at the bottom of the screen:

under browser screen the PS4 shows error: Error loading test: browser

on the photo screen it runs smooth for about 3-4 seconds and then a 1/2 second or so pause.

on the UFO screen it runs in the 40's on the top line, the 20's mid line and the teens lowest line.

Does this info mean the PS4 is not giving accurate data for this web page ?

ok have some more data:

The ps4 slim gives the following results on the ufo test :

60 FPS line - runs un the high 40's sometimes a 50 never displays 60 fps in the counter

30 FPS line - runs in the 20's never displays 30 FPS

15 FPS line - runs around 10/11 never displays 15

I also have a much older PS4 and a ps4 pro

They both display 60/30/15 appropriately. Is the slim possibly defective ?
