Testufo shows 260Hz

Hello, when I select the "refresh rate with decimals" option on Testufo.com it shows 260Hz instead of 240Hz. Just wondering if this was something I need to worry about or if it's just a bug with Testufo.

Monitor: Alienware AW2518H @ 240Hz
Browser: Firefox 59.0.3 (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10 home 1803 build 17134.48
GPU driver: 397.55
GPU: GTX950, yeah that's not a typo. The GPU market went crazy so I'm waiting for the new generation of cards releasing soon.

That's really weird.

For this specific test, I'm using a formula similar to http://www.vsynctester.com .... What does the number at http://www.vsynctester.com say?

Are you using multiple monitors? Say, a 3-monitor setup with 200Hz, 60Hz, and 240Hz? Sometimes certain tests glitch in very weird ways, e.g. 200Hz+60Hz creating 260Hz in specific tests. Never seen this glitch at this huge Hz a number before. That would be a first for me.

I'm using a single monitor. vsynctester shows the same result as testufo when using Firefox, 240fps and 260Hz. I just installed Chrome and it shows 239.584Hz on Testufo so it's probably a Firefox issue. I recently reinstalled windows and since I had no use for chrome I never reinstalled it. Sorry for the spam.

And i have noticed a strange bug on testufo myself:

Both are screenshots/static images of course, but sometimes my browsers (both Chrome and Firefox) sync only at 40fps@40Hz (it looks really blurry when ufos are in motion), but screen works definitely and correctly at 120Hz. This bug might be aero related (thumbnail previews and/or minimize/maximize window options) as it appears randomly and sometimes it fixes itself. Or it might be NVIDIA drivers, who knows

FTFY.

I've seen this happen
- on a multimonitor system (some browser windows on a different monitor simultaneously)
- on power management lowering browser framerates
- on huge number of tabs forcing animation clocks to slow in a pattern indistinguishable from real Hz
- when mouse-overing the taskbar preview

It is API limitations sometimes, and while it tries to heuristically detect wrong Hz - but a small percent of time it fails.

For best TestUFO results, close all tabs and windows, and use a single maximized browser window on the primary monitor -- and preferably disable any secondary monitors.
